Developer Team Jade has announced a delay to Delta Force’s Black Hawk Down campaign, now set to launch during Season Starfall. According to Team Jade, this is a necessary move to ensure that the Delta Force campaign meets the studio’s standards.

Delta Force is the latest entry in the classic tactical FPS series. The free-to-play, team-based Delta Force features different game modes, including Warfare, Extraction, and Campaign. Team Jade took on the challenge of remastering the Black Hawk Down campaign, a particularly difficult task that required sensitivity in order to depict the scenes accurately, avoiding cultural criticism while staying true to both the original game and the Ridley Scott movie that inspired it. The adaptation is taking longer than expected, and the developer shared a message with fans.

Even though the overall campaign seems to be ready, Team Jade needs more time for final polish and optimization. Delta Force’s Black Hawk Down Campaign Delayed, Now Set to Launch During Season Starfall

Delta Force’s Season Starfall will introduce players to a wealth of new content. To kick off the season, Team Jade is rolling out a new update on January 18, bringing a new 3v3v3 PvP game mode called “Hot Zone,” where teams will face each other in a compact battlefield. Each round lasts roughly two minutes, and the first squad to win three rounds claims victory. During this mode, Delta Force’s operators will earn points to spend on gear advantages.

The new season will also feature new areas, including the Underground and the Broken Bridge, both filled with treasures, secrets, and their own narratives. Players can also look forward to new events, like the Lunar New Year Event - Fall of Skynet, which randomly launches rockets across all maps after midnight. Starfall is also introducing new weapons to Delta Force, along with new movements, maps, operators, and plenty of balance adjustments, gameplay improvements, and fixes across many aspects of the game.

While players may be disappointed that Black Hawk Down has been delayed, it is encouraging to know that Team Jade is taking the adaptation seriously and won’t release it until it is fully polished and optimized. In the meantime, starting January 18, players can begin enjoying Season Starfall.
