Deliver Us Mars's first chapter sees Kathy visit numerous locations, both on Earth and beyond. As players navigate through these locations, they will encounter an assortment of puzzles, some of which can be a bit tricky to solve. For those fans that may be having some trouble with a puzzle, or are simply interested in earning all the collectibles and achievements in Chapter 1 of Deliver Us Mars, this walkthrough is here to help.
Reach STREAME Beams
After watching a cutscene, players will be given control of Kathy, who is standing atop an MPT Dish. There is a staircase near the center of this dish, and fans of sci-fi video games should descend it, follow the path, and climb down the ladder that they encounter. Not long after descending this ladder, players will find two STREAME beams, one of which is red.
Clear STREAME Beam and Hook Up MPT Dish
The goal here is to remove the debris that is blocking the red STREAME beam, and that is done by cutting along the yellow lines that appear on the obstruction. Once this beam has been cleared, players should descend the nearby staircase, climb down the ladder at the bottom of those stairs, and work their way down more stairs to reach a puzzle that centers around hooking up the MPT Dish in Deliver Us Mars. This puzzle can be solved by following these steps:
- Approach the building on the left and cut the yellow hinges on the exterior of its window.
- Enter the building on the left and cut the yellow hinges on the floor to reveal a laser.
- Point the laser through the window on the right to connect it to the STREAME point above the right building's window.
- Enter the building on the right.
- Point the laser diagonally through the window on the left so that it contacts the device in front of the left building.
- Return to the building on the left.
- Point the laser diagonally through the window on the right so that it contacts the device in front of the right building.
Join Ryan
After the MPT Dish has been activated, players should descend the nearby stairs to reach Ryan and his truck. Fans of story-driven video games should then interact with Ryan and wait for five minutes to earn the Who waits five minutes, seriously achievement. Once that achievement has triggered, players can interact with the truck to initiate a driving sequence.
Collectibles and Enter WSA Museum
Kathy will be standing in front of some stairs the next time players take control of her, and they should ascend those stairs and follow the path ahead. After a short trip, fans of video games with female protagonists will be looking at another set of stairs, which have flag poles at the top, and they should head left before climbing. Players that move in this direction will eventually arrive at some picnic tables, and the MoonMan Bundle Vol. 2 comic is sitting on one of them.
With this video game collectible in hand, players should climb the stairs toward the flags and take a moment to scan the large golden globe at the top. Once that is done, fans should enter the nearby building, take a left, and then take their first right to reach the museum.
WSA Museum
In this video game museum, players can interact with a variety of exhibitions as they follow the central path, though it is not mandatory that they do so. However, fans should stop to scan Rolf's Space Suit while they are in the area, and it can be seen depicted in the image that is above.
Meet Sarah and Meeting with Maria
At the end of the museum, players will encounter a door that they can try to unlock with AYLA. While Kathy will not be successful with her attempt, the action will trigger a cutscene, which ends with the protagonist accompanying Sarah on a walk down a hallway. After following Sarah for a short time, indie video game fans will be tasked with getting into a meeting with Maria, and here is how that is done:
- Go left and climb the crates at the end of the hallway.
- Cut the yellow hinges on the grate to remove it.
- Climb through the hole, descend the stairs, and cut the debris at the bottom to allow Kathy to crouch through.
- Interact with the terminal next to the elevator platform to raise it.
- Interact with the terminal next to the suspended platform to put it into motion.
- Quickly get on the elevator platform and jump to the suspended platform.
- Jump from the suspended platform to the drum.
- Cut the circular portion of the vent that is beyond the drum.
- Take control of AYLA and navigate through the vent to hear the meeting.
Ride the Tram
This section will ultimately lead to a cutscene, and Kathy will be on her way to a tram when players take control of her once again. Upon reaching the tram, players should enter the vehicle and interact with the seat on the left to initiate a traveling sequence in this followup to Deliver Us the Moon.
Collectible and Enter Zephyr-III
At the end of this sequence, Kathy will be out of the tram and looking toward an elevator. Before entering this lift, players should go left and scan the Mission Gear on the containers that are ahead. This is the final collectible in Deliver Us Mars Chapter 1, and space video game fans should ride the elevator and enter the Zephyr-III after interacting with it.
Launch Zephyr-III
Fans of linear video games will now find themselves on the last part of this first chapter, which centers around interacting with a variety of controls at Kathy's station. These controls illuminate when they are to be interacted with, making this section fairly straightforward. That said, here is exactly how it should be addressed, and the Moonbear achievement will be awarded at the end:
- Flip the switches on the right.
- Flip the switch on the left and slide the dial that is next to it down.
- Interact with the flight stick that is down-left and hold right.
- Adjust the dials under the switches on the right so that they are aligned with the red demarcations.
- Slide the dial on the left, interact with the flight stick, and hold down.
- Activate the button next to the switches on the right and slide the dial that is next to it.
- Activate the button to the right of the display and push the throttle that is down-right to launch.
- Slide dial to the left of the display down so that it is aligned with the green demarcation.
- Activate the second button to the right of the display and push the throttle.
- Slide the second dial to the left of the display down so that it is aligned with the green demarcation.
