Hideo Kojima's hit game Death Stranding has generated a lot of attention recently for adding a new feature. Photo mode was introduced on March 31st, which enables players to take pictures of Sam and the game's beautiful landscape. This has sparked some amazing creative projects shared by Death Stranding players.
Death Stranding's photo mode has features such as customized facial expressions, editing brightness, and adding filters. Using all of these, one player created a mock movie poster of Death Stranding that is visually stunning. The poster invokes thoughts of what a Death Stranding movie could look like. Kojima and Norman Reedus have teased other projects together and a movie could be a possibility in the future.
Although there is no night cycle in Death Stranding, the poster captures a dark landscape using the editing features of photo mode. The game's catchphrase, "Tomorrow is in Your Hands," is highlighted in the middle and credits are shown below. The glow of the grenade launcher and the ominous glow in the horizon contrasts the darkness and adds an epic movie feeling to the poster.
Sony was rumored to say it wanted the game to be scarier, and the poster captures the uneasy feeling of dread in the distance. Death Stranding is a complex game rich with mystery and the fan-made movie poster is able to relay that perfectly. Kojima has talked about a contest for Death Stranding's photo mode and this poster would hopefully be in a list of frontrunners.
Death Stranding is available now for PS4 with a PC version launching on June 2.
