Death Must Die is a hybrid action hack-and-slash roguelite survivor title where players take on the role of various heroes as they attempt to defeat death. However, alone, they are unable to achieve this goal as they fight hordes of enemies and instead have the aid of various gods and goddesses that have noticed their battle toward death.

As the player levels up in Death Must Die, these gods will give the player the option of three blessings to choose from that can either upgrade their attack or give them various casts to use. These are by far some of the best blessings that players should always consider picking up during their battle, ranked.
8 Fury
Attack Quicker With The Aid Of Summer

While players are likely to be focusing on improving their attacks overall with the various elements received by the gods and goddesses in Death Must Die, Fury is a brilliant idea for players to pick up if they are able to receive a blessing from Summer, Goddess of Fire.
While this doesn't add anything majorly special to the player, it does increase their attack speed by a small percentage. Being able to attack faster means the player can kill quicker and therefore avoid danger. This is beneficial to the melee characters a player can be or the spell casters too.
7 Divine Shield

While dealing damage in Death Must Die is important overall, being able to avoid taking damage is just as important for a player. Lady Justice is the best goddess for this, as many of her blessings involve defending the player or hitting an enemy back for a percentage of the damage they have done.
Out of all the available blessings, Divine Shield is by far one of her best. With this cast applied, the player gains a shield that blocks the next time the player takes damage, then they will need to wait roughly 30 seconds for the shield to appear once more.
6 Blades

While many of Krom, the God of Conquest's blessings involve up-close and personal attacks, this stubborn and aggressive god has some fairly decent cast blessings too. Blades are a perfect idea for any player who wishes to deal damage to enemies before they can even think about getting close.
Players will have two spinning blades surrounding them at all times that not only damage enemies but also weaken them as they bleed out from the effect known as rupture. Leveling up this blessing through more encounters with Krom will not only increase its damage but also the number of blades.
5 Lifelink

While the player and the various characters they get to control are going after death, they even gain the assistance of Death's own daughter, Mort, who brings with her all sorts of interesting blessings, such as the ever-powerful Lifelink.
When a player dashes, they drain multiple enemies of their health. If the player finds themselves under a certain threshold of their own hit points, draining these enemies of health will instead give it to them. Increasing this blessing level will not only increase the number of drains a player can do at once but also how far away the effect can link to mobs.
4 Combust

Summer is the first goddess to aid the player and, therefore, a lot of her blessings are some of the best to be used. While Fury only increases attack speed, Combust is a Power blessing that has the potential to deal great amounts of damage to multiple enemies at once.
Whenever the player kills a certain number of burning enemies, the last target that was defeated explodes, which not only damages but also knocks back other enemies as well. This can cause a chain reaction as a kill caused by the explosion can make another explosion happen too.
3 Lifeline

The three Goddesses of Fate predominantly give the player passive blessings that will boost various stats. Out of the many available, one that players should always pick up is Lifeline. This passive blessing increases the player's life by a decent percentage.

This not only heals them by a certain amount but also increases the maximum amount of health the player has available. Time is the god that has assisted the player in Death Must Die and has tasked them with the challenge of defeating Death himself. Therefore, many of Time's blessings are incredibly powerful, with them being some of the best in the game.
One of the stand-out options players should always consider is Energy Missiles. When a player's attack hits, it has the chance to shoot out 5 aiming missiles that will damage other enemies. As players level up this incredibly powerful strike, the chance of it working increases as well as the number of missiles that are fired.

By far, out of all the blessings in Death Must Die, one of the best can be found when meeting Leigong, God of Lightning. All of his blessings revolve around being fast so that the player can attack twice with just one attack. However, one of his best blessings is Ball Lightning, a blessing that affects the player's dash.
With this blessing, the player has the chance to start an effect that turns them into a ball of lightning that can zap around the battlefield, damaging anyone they pass through. This can be incredibly deadly while also allowing the player to make their swift escape if they find themselves surrounded.
