As the lone survivor of a passenger jet crash, you find yourself in a mysterious forest battling to stay alive against a society of cannibalistic mutants.
Build, explore, survive in this terrifying first person survival horror simulator. Enter a living, breathing world, where every tree and plant can be chopped down. Below ground explore a vast network of caves and underground lakes.
Chop down trees to build a camp, or start a fire to keep warm. Scavenge food to keep yourself from starving. Build a small shelter or a large ocean side fortress. Lay traps and defences to keep a safe perimeter.
Explore and build during the day. Defend your base at night. Craft weapons and tools. Bunker down during the evening or bring the fight directly to the enemy. Defend yourself against a clan of genetic mutant enemies that have beliefs, families, morals and that appear almost human.
Use stealth to evade enemies, or engage them directly with crude weapons built from sticks and stones.

One of the most intense and immersive survival experiences around! I can still remember my first few encounters with cannibals. While it might not have the same weapon variety as its sequel, I think this game is arguably better in some ways.

The Forest is a terrifying and rewarding survival horror experience. It’s got that perfect mix of building and scavenging during the day, and then the constant anxiety of surviving against cannibals and strange creatures at night. The open-world setting is huge, and I love the freedom to build and explore, but man, the tension ramps up as you get deeper into the forest. The combat feels satisfying, but it can get a bit chaotic, especially when you're overwhelmed by enemies. If you’re into survival games with a dark, psychological twist, The Forest is an absolute thrill.

I love this game. I am an Abbott game plthere and I was looking for something with a challenge. This game has it all the challenge. The thrill cause you never know what's gonna happen next. I love this game. I would recommend it to the people that are looking for a challenge in a game for me. It's a 10 star, it's a no-brainer.

The Forest is one of those non-linear adventures that rewards players based on their curiosity.
There are no indicators to tell you where to go or what to do, but someone with enough curiosity can indeed discover an unbelievable story within the caves.
But aside from that, The Forest is also quite great for just surviving. It's brutal and challenging. I loved playing it solo. It's just amazing how unsafe you feel whenever the sun sets in this game.
