Super Smash Bros. Melee was the second game in Nintendo's crossover fighting series. Like its predecessor, the game takes a multitude of iconic Nintendo characters, such as Link, Mario, and Kirby, and pits them against each other in 2.5D arenas. 

Melee added new arenas, new gameplay modes, and new characters, including Princess Zelda, Bowser, and Mewtwo.
