Former trusted wise guy for the Leone family, Toni Cipriani returns home to Liberty City after spending time in hiding for killing a made man. Now, the streets of Liberty City are in turmoil, as warring families vie for control and the town begins to self-destruct under waves of political corruption, organized crime, drug trafficking and union strikes. Deranged hit men, morally depraved tycoons, cynical politicians and even his own mother stand in the way as Toni tries to bring the city under Leone family control.

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories was a great handheld experience that took the classic GTA formula and made it portable without sacrificing too much. The story, set in the same gritty world of Liberty City, gave me a fresh perspective on the city's crime-filled underbelly. Playing as Toni Cipriani, I got to dive into the chaos of mob wars and power struggles. The mission variety was solid, and the open world was surprisingly expansive for a PSP game. While it doesn't have the same depth as the console entries, it still delivers the action, mayhem, and humor that GTA fans expect. The controls took a bit of getting used to on the PSP, but once I did, it was a blast. Definitely one of the better GTA experiences on a portable platform.
