How to Get the 'Glitch City' Achievement in Date Everything
A Series of Specific Steps
To get the Glitch City achievement, players must clip through the window by the bin and sink in the kitchen. Before doing anything else, players will need to press A on Xbox or X on PlayStation to interact with the trash can and ensure that its lid is opened.
Once this is done, players need to stand in front of the kitchen counter to the right of the trash can and in front of the drawer circled in the screenshot above. When in position, look at the drawer and press A/X to interact and open it while also opening the phone (Menu button/ Option button). If you've done this correctly, when you close your phone, you should now be standing on top of the open kitchen drawer.
From here, crouch and carefully walk towards the kitchen window and make sure you're standing directly over the trash can. While facing into the kitchen, press and hold the left analog stick back, as if you're walking into the window.
Look to your left, where the kitchen cupboards are on the wall, and have the curtain highlighted with your reticle so you can interact with it. As you continue to walk into the window, press A to close the curtain and open your phone again (Menu/ Options). If you've done this correctly, you should now be behind the curtain.
This last step took me a good few tries. The best way to make sure that you're doing this right is to make sure that you're standing over the bin while you're looking over to the left. The positioning over the bin is incredibly important to getting the glitch to work. If you fail a few times, always make sure you check you're still standing over the bin before trying again.
Now that you're behind the curtain, stand up, and you should now have your head inside the top of the window frame. Keep moving into the window now as you open the curtain. If done correctly, the screen will shake a lot. Crouch again and you'll now be able to walk through the kitchen window and into the backyard.
As soon as you land on the grass, Date Everything's Glitch City achievement/trophy will pop. You can now head back inside using the back door, just a little bit down from the window.
To summarize, the steps to getting the 'Glitch City' achievement are:
- Open the trash can lid in the kitchen.
- Stand in front of the kitchen counter, look at the drawer, and interact with it as you open your phone.
- Move over the trash can lid.
- Look at the kitchen cupboards to the left and interact with the curtain as you open your phone.
- Close your phone and stand up.
- Move into the window as you open and close the curtain until the screen starts shaking.
- Crouch again to fall into the backyard.
This achievement is one of the various 'secrets' that the developer, Sassy Chap Games, has added into the dating sim. There's also another tough achievement called 'Game Over' in Date Everything, which requires some specific dialogue choices with a certain washing machine.
