Date Everything offers 100 characters (or 102 with the purchase of the "Lavish Edition" DLC) with whom players can potentially find love. From Dorian the door to Doug the existential dread, each of the game's Dateables has their fans. But some Date Everything players have taken the game's dating simulator premise in a different direction: instead of pursuing characters themselves, they've been enjoying building or theory-crafting relationships between the various objects and concepts. Some of the most popular Date Everything "ships" don't even involve the player character at all.

How to Get and Use Candy in Date Everything

Date Everything players can use Candy to repair their relationships with hateful Dateables. Here's how.

The Player Can Matchmake Several Pairs Of Date Everything's Characters In-Game

Players being able to nudge characters towards each other in games with romance elements is nothing new - it's appeared in such titles as the Mass Effect series and Dragon Age: The Veilguard. But Date Everything kicks things up a notch by allowing the player to pair off several sets of Dateables, including potentially entering into multiple throuple relationships.

One pair who has gained particular attention on social media is Eddie and Volt. The pair, who represent electricity, are flirtatious with one another, and they are considered one Dateable by the game's Date-a-Dex. If the player should pursue a Love relationship with both, it is revealed that they care for each other deeply, and their Love ending includes an implied threesome.

Other pairings the player can meddle with in Date Everything include ex-partners Washford and Drysdale (a washer and dryer respectively), who can reconcile if the player convinces them to have an honest conversation. Florence the Floor and Mayor Celia the Ceiling have unspoken crushes on one another that the player's actions can force them to admit. And while Dirk the Dirty Laundry isn't necessarily happy with Harper the hamper, nor she with him, the player does have the option to encourage them to stay together romantically.

Social media posts discovering new potential Date Everything couples have generally been met with positive responses. Players have discovered that Abel the Table has a crush on Dasha the Desk, Penelope the Office Supplies is interested in both Kristof the Cross-Trainer and Shelley the Shelf, and - perhaps most bizarre of all - Doug the Existential Dread can express interest in Artt the Artwork simply because both of them have solid white, muscular bodies. (Kudos to users on the Date Everything Discord for discovering that last one.)

Date Everything's Other Dateable Pairings Don't Occur In-Game, But Still Have Fans

The potential "canon" Dateable pairings aren't the only ones that have attracted attention. Reddit user souryuu5 drew attention to the friendship - and potential chemistry - between Chance the D20 and Parker Bradley the board game. The two are a popular "ship" within the Date Everything fandom due to their actors (Matthew Mercer and Brennan Lee Mulligan respectively) both serving as popular online Dungeons and Dragons Dungeon Masters.

Betty the bed, described by Date Everything's Narrator as "sultry" and "the definition of comfort," is another well-liked target for "shipping." She is one of the most openly flirtatious Dateables, and fully admits to having multiple "friends with benefits." Although only Ben-Hwa the adult toy is confirmed to be one of those "friends," fans have suggested that Betty could get along well with Mateo Manta the Blanket, Sophia the Safe, or even Zoey Bennett the attic ghost.

With over 1.5 million words and approximately 75,000 lines of recorded dialogue, it's definitely possible that Date Everything's players have not yet discovered every potential pairing between Dateables in the game. One thing is for sure: Date Everything is a game that celebrates love in many different forms, including in the form of relationships between the attractive humanoid objects scattered around the player's house.
