Despite being one of the starting weapons, Sellsword Twinblades is regarded as one of the most powerful weapons in the game. It is only available to one class, though it can be obtained during the early game, even if the player is a different class.

How to Obtain Sellsword Twinblades

The easiest way to obtain Sellsword Twinblades is to use Mercenary as the starting class. Players will come equipped with this weapon and a Shield if they choose this class. However, if they want to pick another class, they can also find this weapon in the open world.

They will need to travel to the Road of Sacrifices and have the Halfway Fortress Bonfire unlocked. From the Bonfire, travel along the road, in a straight path and then, instead of turning left on the road, drop straight down.

Players will come across a few enemies that are safe to ignore. Once they move past them, they will come in front of a stone doorway. Enter it and turn left. The Anor Londo Knight will be standing guard there.

Fight him or kite him him, the choice is up to the players. There is a collectible behind behind him slightly to the right. Interact with it to get the Sellsword Twinblades.

Sellsword Twinblades Overview

Sellsword Twinblades is a dual-wielding Scimitar and is extremely effective when two-handed. Heavy attacks while dual-wielding allow players to attack with both the Scimitars, dealing some massive damage in a quick timeframe. Sellsword Twinblades also comes with the skill “Spin Slash” which allows players to slice into foes with a large spinning motion, and continue spinning to transition into a strong attack.

Sellsword Twinblades only deals Physical damage.

These weapons can be buffed, and infused, as well as upgraded with Titanite Shards. This weapon, when dual-wielded, is one of the highest DPS weapons in the game, making it an ideal weapon for a Dexterity build.

Sellsword Twinblades is mostly a Dexterity weapon with a slight scaling in Strength. Being the starter weapon for the Mercenary class, it does not have many requirements either. It requires 16 Dexterity and 10 Strength to be wielded effectively.

This weapon starts with a scaling of E in Strength and C in Dexterity. However, after maximum upgrades, it changes to a scaling of D in Strength and B in Dexterity. Players can also use Sharp infusion to further increase their Dexterity scaling to A.

Stats to Focus

Since Sellsword Twinblades primarily scales with Dexterity, the priority is to level up the Dexterity stat to 40. After this, the Strength stat can be upgraded till 25-28 points, after which the benefit of increasing the stat becomes almost unnoticeable.

Players will be up close and personal with Sellsword Twinblades. Therefore, they should also keep enough points in Vigor and Endurance. Vigor increases Health, and Endurance increases Stamina.

Synergetic Spells for sellsword twinblades

Players can choose to keep a Shield (ideally one with 100 percent Physical damage reduction) as a way to keep themselves safe from Ranged attacks. The spells that improve the damage or buff the Sellsword Twinblades also work perfectly here. However, make sure that there are enough points in Faith and Intelligence to use such spells. Notable spells are:

Frozen Weapon: Enhances the right-hand weapon with +45 Frost.
Carthus Flame Arc: Adds Fire damage to the right-hand weapon for 90 seconds.
Darkmoon Blade: Boosts right-hand weapon with rays of Darkmoon.

Rings

Rings for this build should be those that boost our Dexterity and provide us with additional Health, Stamina, and Vitality.

Prisoner’s Chain / Ring of Favour: Increases our Vigor, Endurance, and Vitality.

Pontiff’s Right Eye: Boosts Attack Power in stages: 3%, 5%, and +10% at maximum, as long as attacking persists.

This collection of rings will not only increase damage (Increase in Dexterity points and boosting Attack Power as long as attacking persists) but it will also significantly improve Vigor, Endurance, and Vitality.
