Dandadan Season 2 is one of the greatest releases this year. Science Saru has truly been able to adapt the manga by Yokinonu Tatsu in such a masterful way, with beautiful animation and amazing directional choices.

A new episode was recently released, and the next episode, Dandadan Season 2, Episode 6, also known as Dandadan Episode 18, will be out in a few days. Read on to learn everything you need to know.

Dandadan Episode 18 Release Date

Dandadan Season 2 follows a weekly schedule, as most anime do (there are, though, a few series that might air on a monthly or even daily basis, but they are very rare). This season, new episodes are released on Thursdays, meaning that the next episode will hit the US at 9:00 a.m. (PT) / 11:00 a.m. (ET) on August 7, 2025. Of course, this schedule could suddenly change if production or external issues arise. For instance, earthquakes and tsunamis tend to change the schedule of series in Japan for obvious reasons, and unfortunately a big earthquake recently hit the country, so the Japanese are very attentive to the possibility of other earthquakes in the near future.

In any case, the episodes are apparently added to streaming platforms before they are broadcast on TV, where the next episode will air at 12:26 a.m. (JST) on August 8, 2025, effectively 9:26 a.m. (PT) on August 7.

Where to Watch Dandadan Season 2

Dandadan is available on several streaming platforms around the world, and this availability might even be one of the reasons why the series has become such a hit. It's easy to find it anywhere (or, at least, easier when compared with titles that are exclusive to one or two platforms). In any case, Dandadan Season 2 is streaming on Netflix, Crunchyroll, and Hulu in the US and Canada.

Apart from Hulu, all these platforms are available in many countries around the world (Hulu is also available internationally in select countries, but generally Disney operates globally with Disney+). Nonetheless, Dandadan Season 2 is also available on platforms with significant regional reach in many countries, like ADN in France and Muse Asia in India and other Asian countries. Even though Hulu streams the series in the US and Canada, it seems that Disney+ doesn't stream the anime in many countries, if any.

Latest Episode Features Ranma 1/2 Reference

Dandadan Season 2 Episode 5, which aired last Thursday, featured an exciting moment referencing Ranma 1/2, when Jiji sang the opening theme of the original anime. This reference was not made up by Science Saru but was an adaptation of the manga. Still, the scene took many fans by surprise, especially Ranma fans.

Another scene that resonated with some viewers was the "hospital scene." Since Jiji and Sung Jinwoo are dubbed by the same voice actor in English, Aleks Le, many fans made a parallel between them. However, unlike Solo Leveling's hospital scene, no one seemed to be disappointed by the scene.

Season 2 Keeps Solid Results on Netflix

Dandadan Season 2 has maintained its place among the most-watched non-English series on Netflix every week since its debut on the platform. While the other services don't typically share viewership numbers, it is safe to presume that the series is likely also trending on Crunchyroll and Hulu, especially since it has become a hot topic within the anime fandom.

Given that there are many great releases this season, the attention of fans seems to be more diluted over different series, unlike when Season 1 came out last year and dominated discussions. Nonetheless, Dandadan Season 2 is probably the strongest anime release in the 2025 Summer Season.

Dandadan is available to read on MANGA Plus in English and several other languages.
