Cyberpunk 2077: Should You Kill Nika?

Cyberpunk 2077 is full of hard decisions and sad situations that V must navigate while worrying about their own mortality. The Phantom Liberty DLC does not stray away from highlighting Night City's problems in a newly explorable district called Dogtown.

Dogtown is a black-market city with more bad intentions than good, and the residents lack support. Dogtown Saints is one of the gigs that will cross V's way while in Dogtown, which has a bittersweet ending. While the objective is to save Anthony Anderson, they'll soon realize it is more complex when they must make a difficult choice. Cyberpunk 2077: Dogtown Saints Guide

Dogtown Saints is an early gig in Phantom Liberty, and players can access it after they finish one of the opening missions, Spider and the Fly. The job will be offered to them by Mr. Hands, who calls V and explains the situation. Anthony Anderson runs a health clinic and has been held hostage in his office by Scavengers.

V must visit his assistant Odell Blanco to determine what is happening and how to save Anthony. Odell has set up shop outside the Haven clinic, so players can find him easily. After talking to him, they should tell him a fixer sent them to move forward in the gig.

Go Inside the Clinic

The next move will be to get inside the clinic and find Anthony. Players have two options to get inside stealthily; they could go in through the front doors, but they must have a Body stat of 11 or higher to force the doors open. If they do this, they can easily access the cameras from the computer to implement any quickhacks or scans from a distance.

The second option is to sneak inside from the side entrance on the left of the building. Several Scavengers guard the area, including a sniper on the top floor. Players can use the environmental items to distract the guards and take them out one by one if they're careful. Of course, there is also the option to run in and start shooting.

Go to the Basement

Anthony's office is in the clinic basement, so getting inside is only the first issue. From there, players must sneak past the Scavengers on the general floor or fight them all.

If combat is triggered, there are two Netrunners that players must watch out for. Enemy Netrunners can trace and hack V's weapons, so taking them out first is the best strategy to avoid neural combat.

The basement door is at the back right side of the clinic. A few guards are downstairs, so be alert while moving towards the office. Anthony's office is towards the back through another door that leads to the elevator hallway. Players will hear shouting from inside, and the objective will update when they're close.

Let Nika Live or Kill Her?

When V opens the door, she sees a woman named Nika holding Anthony at gunpoint. She reveals that she is seeking information on her brother, who visited the clinic. Anthony, however, isn't very forthcoming about what happened to him and goes to take a drink, causing Nika to shoot his hand.

From this point, V has two options:

They can keep talking to Nika or pull out their weapon. Taking out the gun makes Nika turn on them, and they must kill her to save Anthony.
After taking her out, players can talk to Anthony and leave the building to complete the gig.

If players keep talking, Anthony tells them that Nika's brother is dead. To make matters worse, he plans to keep his corpse to harvest his implants for someone else to use. This makes Nika more mad, and she starts punching Anthony.

Again, players can forcibly stop the attack and enter combat or tell Anthony to release her brother's body. If they choose to make him talk, Nika will see her brother in the morgue, and players can speak with Anthony. They can also stop by the morgue on the way out to see Nika grieving, which triggers Johnny to make an appearance and share his thoughts on the scenario.

Players can then leave and complete the gig. Later, Mr. Hands will call them and deposit their reward money. Whether players choose to kill Nika or not, as long as Anthony makes it out alive, they will have completed the mission.
