It's now possible to make encounters in Cyberpunk 2077 a little riskier thanks to a mod that, while encouraging players to rob civilians, will also make enemies and other NPCs a little stronger. Aside from the Phantom Liberty DLC that's due out soon, it could well be a quiet 2023 for developer CD Projekt Red. With the studio now working on the next saga in The Witcher series, as well as announcing a sequel to Cyberpunk, the team is almost certainly going to have its head down while working on these new projects.

CDPR's 2020 dystopian RPG has had quite the narrative arc in terms of its development and release. These days, the game is doing much better, but that problematic initial launch is still fresh in many people's minds. As good as the game is now, the vanilla experience can always be improved upon, thanks to the dedicated fan base. There are some pretty weird Cyberpunk 2077 mods out there, as well as ones that can really enhance the overall experience. But for those who want a little extra danger during their playthrough, the modding community can cater to that as well.

With that in mind, Nexus Mods user tduality brings "Immersive City," a mod for Cyberpunk 2077 that makes encounters with NPCs a little more interesting. For starters, civilians will have 100% health rather than 60, and their total amount of health will no longer be the same across the board. Enemies will also have different levels, and there's a chance V could meet one that's stronger than they are. The mod also encourages players to engage in some crime, with the option to loot money from NPCs, including the police. The creator pretty much says that players can become a gangster if they so wish.

With Cyberpunk 2077's slew of gangs, not to mention the overall violence present in the game, the streets of Night City are already pretty dangerous as they are. It's a very gritty RPG, with players often having to engage in combat or being put in life-threatening situations just to get by.

In fact, there are a lot of choices Cyberpunk 2077's V can make, some of which have an impact on the main story. That is one of the great things about this game. Not only is it a sprawling city with a lot of life breathed into it, but there is so much to do to keep players occupied, including, it seems, going on crime sprees.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
