Sniper rifles are often unloved in Cyberpunk 2077 due to the fact that most players prefer to get right into the action with the best melee weapons and the most powerful shotguns, but that doesn’t mean snipers are not worth collecting. Players can find yet another Iconic weapon in the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty expansion if they are willing to take the fight to those dreaded Scavs.

Cyberpunk 2077: All Changes in Update 2.0

Update 2.0 has brought about many new exciting changes and additions to Cyberpunk 2077.

Sparky is a new Iconic sniper rifle that can be found in Cyberpunk 2077, but it will require some combat challenges, as players will not only need to fight a small army of Scavs, the dreaded Cyberware stripping gang of Night City, but they will also be in combat with a retooled Arasaka drone, which can hit harder than Adam Smasher.

Scavenger Criminal Activity

There are a few new Criminal Activities that players can find in Dogtown. One of them is for the Scavenger hideout, which is located at Terra Cognita. Turning around from the fast travel terminal, players can head up the stairs and to the right, where they will find a large building filled with Scavs, cameras, turrets, and a looming Arasaka drone that stalks from the skies.

Inside this building, players can head up to the right of the escalators to find a locked door. Behind this door is the prize that players seek, and Sparky awaits a new owner from within. However, to get the doors to open, players are going to need to kill the Scavs and the Modified Arasaka MRS-071 Drone.

How To Beat The Arasaka Drone

The best way to beat the Arasaka Drone in the Scavenger Criminal Activity is to first start with the Scav enemies. Killing these enemies first will stop players from being overwhelmed by the power of the Arasaka Drone. Once players have gone around and killed these enemies, the best way to avoid the fire of the Arasaka Drone is by running up the escalator and to the back of the room and using the red vending machine as cover.

This video shows where to find Sparky, as well as a fight with the Arasaka Drone:

From behind the cover of this vending machine, players can wait for their healing items to refresh, and shoot at the drone with their weapons without getting injured. The best weapons to use are Light Machine Guns, Assault Rifles, and Pistols/Revolvers like Johnny Silverhand's classic. Anything fast with good stopping power, rather than shotguns and melee weapons, as players do not want to get too close.

Sparky acts very much like a bolt-action sniper, and it can be rather hard to wield at close range simply because it reloads so slowly compared to other weapons. However, for those who want to pick off enemies at long range, Sparky is a great choice for a sniper in Cyberpunk 2077, especially since a headshot is fatal for basically all enemies due to its stopping power damage multiplier, and electric shock chance.
