Iconic Modifier

Set your enemies alight thanks to explosive-packed bullets. The more enemies burning at once, the faster you reload and the higher your Crit Chance.

  • How to Get O'Five: Located in Beat on the Brat: Arroyo, in Arroyo, Santo Domingo, players can increase the bet with Buck Arnold to €$18,000 so that he matches the bet with his Sniper Rifle. Win the fight and loot Buck to get O'Five.

O'Five is definitely a Power Sniper Rifle worth keeping an eye on due to its iconic modifiers that turn it into a railgun. While the weapon is fun thanks to its explosive bullets, it lacks the headshot multiplier of other snipers, and a faster reload from burning enemies doesn't excuse the fact that players are reduced to a slow walk when using this weapon. Regardless, it's easy enough to get early on due to players just needing to beat someone up for it. This Sniper benefits from long-range engagements where players can set enemies on fire without risk of their own demise, but the reduction to movement speed and the lack of damage make for a mediocre weapon.

Iconic Modifier

Grants a chance to inflict a unique burn on the enemy. Shooting an enemy affected by this burn always deals Crit Damage. The more enemies simultaneously affected by this burn, the more Crit Damage you deal, but at the cost of accuracy.

  • How to Get Borzaya: Found inside the Airdrop that lands in front of the Brave Atlas, located at the Golden Pacific in Dogtown. (Phantom Liberty)

The Borzaya is rather impressive as both a canine and now as a Sniper Rifle. This variation has a high chance to inflict Burn on to enemies, and for enemies that are affected by Burn, they will always take Critical Hit damage to make sure every hit penetrates and stings more than the fire that scorches their bodies. This damage will extend depending on how many enemies are on fire and affected by Burn, but the cost of reduced accuracy will make decent distance fights a tad burdensome when trying to juggle all of these bonuses.

  • How to Get Sparky: Found within the cache during the Increased Criminal Activity: SCAVENGERS, unlocked by looting the key from the Arasaka drone. This encounter is found in ESC Explorer, Terra Cognita, Dogtown (Phantom Liberty)

If players like to zap to the extreme, then they should look to the Sparky Sniper Rifle, as each headshot will apply Shock and electrify the enemies impacted. While there's nothing special about this weapon outside this modifier, it's still a fun time to blast at enemies and go zap-zap-zap. The magazine is short, the range is decent, and the reload speed is fairly lengthy, but electric bolts provided on each headshot ensure the wrath of Zeus is chambered in each shot.

Scope

  • How to Get Foxhound: Random chance to be looted from Airdrops, or found in V's Stash if players used Amazon Prime Gaming between February 28, 2024, and April 3, 2024. (Phantom Liberty)

For players who just can't seem to sit still, there's the Foxhound. This Sniper Rifle works great with the fast movement and gameplay of Cyberpunk 2077, as long as players stay on the move, the more damage their weapon deals. To top it all off, movement speed is further increased on each kill and dismemberment, so it's truly a weapon that benefits from constantly moving feet and plenty of death. Being able to change the scope means that players don't have to stick to far distances, as they can use this as a Precision Rifle instead, shooting enemies and dismembering them for a movement boost, along with greater Armor Penetration.

Iconic Modifier

Fires a powerful series of explosive rounds. Headshot increases damage from hip firing. Neutralizing multiple enemies increases reload speed and chance to apply Burning.

  • How to Get NDI Osprey: Found inside a weapon case in Alena Xenakis' safe house in Birds with Broken Wings, a Side Job found in The Moth, Arroyo, Coastview, Dogtown. (Phantom Liberty)

If players want something more like a marksman rifle than a Sniper, then look to the NDI Osprey, an oversized Sniper that can be fired from the hip, with the added benefit of being fired in full auto. While movement speed may be reduced, the explosive rounds, headshot damage, and potential for fast reloads on a hip-firing death-providing monster are too good to ignore. This Sniper Rifle also has a great magazine size, and while the reload speed is pretty hefty, the headshot damage from the hip more than makes up for it, as does the Burning chance for added damage.

Charged rounds now penetrate through enemies and will bend their trajectory to hit multiple enemies simultaneously.

  • How to Get Rasetsu: Automatically acquired during the Main Mission in Phantom Liberty's campaign, You Know My Name

Players might have heard of Air Benders, but have they heard of bullet benders? Rasetsu is an oddity, providing an Iconic Tech Sniper Rifle that can have charged shots penetrate through enemies to bend and hit multiple enemies at once. It's a railgun that has a violent punch to it, with extremely noticeable headshot damage. The only draw back is the limited magazine size and lengthy reload, but the damage multiplier from headshots makes this gun so powerful.

  • How to Get Overwatch: Rewarded to V by Panam Palmer for completing Riders on the Storm, Panam's questline that can be started after the Life During Wartime Main Job

An absolute classic from the popular Panam Palmer, Overwatch is a Sniper Rifle worth keeping around for a few reasons. Not only is it the essential Sniper for stealth thanks to its custom silencer, but its faster reload speed makes its bolt-action firing feel a tad better, and the headshot damage multiplier is nothing to laugh at. A decent magazine size, headshot damage, and reload speed make this Sniper Rifle great for long-range engagements, especially with a silencer to ensure stealth playthroughs stay quiet.

  • How to Get Breakthrough: Crafted from the Crafting Spec obtained from Olga Elisabeth Longmead at the Suspected Organized Crime Activity: New, Boss, New Rules, located at Carnitas Street, Rancho Coronado, Santo Domingo

There's nothing worse than a cowering enemy seeking cover against the might of a Sniper Rifle. Luckily, this Sniper doesn't accept the rules when it comes to cover, and will happily charge up to fire a wall-piercing shot. Penetrating through cover and allowing said charged shots to ricochet will provide a battlefield of death for all but V, especially with such high damage numbers for headshots.
