In the most recent Google Stadia Connect presentation, Google unveiled a number of games that are coming to its Stadia game-streaming platform in the near future. This included a handful of first-on-Stadia games that will be timed-exclusives for the platform, including the new creation game Crayta that will allow players to create their own experiences in a vein similar to games like Media Molecule's Dreams.
Google announced Crayta with a short trailer during the Stadia Connect presentation that showcased the creation tools in action. Crayta encourages players to collaborate with others to bring their creations to life, and it seems as though they will only be limited by their imaginations. How difficult it is to use the Crayta creation tools remains to be seen, so it will be interesting to see how much of a community the game is able to develop.
As for when Crayta will be available on Google Stadia, the game doesn't have a specific release date. However, it will apparently launch at some point this summer, so fans should be able to get their hands on it at some point within the next few months.
Those who aren't quite sold on the trailer but still want to give the game a shot should note that Crayta will be debuting in the Stadia Pro program, meaning players that are subscribed to Stadia Pro will be able to play it for free. This should go a long way in assuring that Crayta has a healthy community at launch, but we'll have to wait until this summer to find out if the game is a success or a flop.
