Locate the Yellow Moray Eel in the Ocean, accessible from the Diving Pier. As a Legendary Fish, this species resides in saltwater, making it unavailable for capture in freshwater fishing zones.

To catch one, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Coral Island's Ocean (Beach), where this Legendary Fish can be found in saltwater.
  2. The ideal seasons for catching a Yellow Moray Eel are Summer and Spring.
  3. Specifically, head to the beach between the 15th and 28th of Summer or Spring.
  4. Ensure you fish during the night in the Ocean’s water for the best chance of catching a Yellow Moray Eel.

Increase your odds of catching a Legendary Eel by equipping a Large Bait. Large Baits become available at Fishing Level 8 and boost the likelihood of fishing a Yellow Moray Eel by 25%.

How to Breed Yellow Moray Eel

The best way to farm Legendary Moray Eel is by building a fish pond. Purchase the blueprint from the Carpenter and build it on your farm using 1 Gold Kelp Essence, 20 Scraps, 20 Seaweeds, 50 Stones, and 7,000 Coins. Each Moray Eel requires 4 days to reproduce, but you can expedite the process by overseeing multiple ponds simultaneously.

You can get a fish pond for free by completing the Sunny’s Letter quest or the Rare Fish Offering in the Catch Altar.

What to Do with Yellow Moray Eel

Save one Legendary Moray for the Rare Fish Offering of the Catch Altar. If you have additional eels, consider donating one to the Museum for extra points.
