Building a farm in Coral Island goes hand-in-hand with growing a family. Seasoned players are well aware that romance is a central element of this cozy farming simulator’s narrative. However, what some may have overlooked is the possibility of having babies after marrying their love interest. In this guide, you’ll uncover every step to becoming a parent in Coral Island. Additionally, you’ll gain insight into parenthood within the game’s universe, along with tips for caring for your baby.
Coral Island: How to Get Married
If you are ready to start your own family and have kids in Coral Island, this guide helps you prepare for your marriage.
Prerequisites of Becoming a Parent
Before opting to have a baby, you must first marry a bachelor or bachelorette, upgrade your house, and earn extra heart points with your spouse. Here’s how to tackle each stage:
- Marriage: Initiate a romantic relationship with a bachelor or bachelorette by presenting them with a special necklace. Once you’ve reached 10 Heart Points with them, propose marriage or accept their proposal.
- House Upgrade: Consult with Dinda regarding upgrading your farmhouse. To marry and have babies, you’ll need to upgrade to House Stage 3 for marriage and House Stage 4 for babies.
- Heart Points: Strengthen your intimacy with your spouse by giving them gifts. Accumulating Heart Points prepares them for parenthood with you.
How to Have a Baby
To have babies after marriage in Coral Island, achieve an additional five heart points with your spouse. When your relationship reaches 15 hearts, your spouse will propose expanding your family and having babies. If you choose “Yes” from the dialogue options, either you or your partner will give birth to a baby in fourteen days.
This dialogue is a recurring event, and your spouse may bring it up again later if you initially decline.
Things to Know About Coral Island’s Babies
Keep these in mind before extending your family in Coral Island:
- You can only have two babies. However, if you marry Suki, you’ll be able to parent three kids—because she is a single mom of one.
- Once you name your kid, there is no option to rename them. Also, there is no option to pick a random name for your newborn.
- Your children are supposed to grow up into adult NPCs. However, this is not the case in the current version of the game.
- Your spouse will be the primary caretaker of the baby. This leaves you with enough time to attend to the farm and complete missions as usual.
