Some people think that Concord is being sent out to fail because gamers might not want to pay money upfront for a game that might be mediocre. Concord transitioning to a free-to-play model with a paid battle pass and microtransactions can help bring in more players on day one, potentially helping it succeed, even if the game ends up being just OK.
