The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has rated Company of Heroes 3 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, despite the game only being announced on PC so far. The previous installments in the Company of Heroes series were only available on PC, so a release on consoles would be a first for the RTS franchise.

Relic Entertainment released the first Company of Heroes back in 2006, presenting RTS lovers with a new strategy game set during the Second World War. This first game met immediate success, leading to a sequel in 2013 titled Company of Heroes 2. Despite this second entry in the series getting mixed reviews, fans of the franchise have been eagerly waiting for a third game. Relic Entertainment and Sega announced one back in June 2021, but the release of Company of Heroes 3 was delayed from its original 2022 launch date to February 23, 2023.

Company of Heroes 3 received a rating from the Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee for both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, alongside the expected PC version of the game. The listing doesn’t feature any rating for a potential PlayStation 4, Xbox One, or Nintendo Switch version. Company of Heroes 3 would be the first game in the series to release on consoles, as previous entries were only available on PC. Neither Relic Entertainment nor Sega has reacted to that rating to confirm or deny whether Company of Heroes 3 would be coming to consoles.

Company of Heroes 3 brings several additions to the RTS series, including new mechanics, new factions, and new units. While the setting remains the Second World War as in the previous entries, Company of Heroes 3 takes the battle to Italy and North Africa. This third opus introduces new features, such as the Tactical Pause system to pause a battle and select several actions to perform automatically once the game resumes.

Company of Heroes 3 launches with four factions, each having its own strengths and weaknesses. US Forces are described as aggressive and adaptable, the German Wehrmacht faction is defensive and intimidating, the British forces are well-rounded and resilient while the Deutsches Afrikakorps are mechanized and mobile. Players can take control of these factions in multiplayer modes, from 1v1 matches to intense 4v4 battles. For those who would rather play against an enemy AI, Company of Heroes 3 features two single-player campaigns, the North African Operation and the Italian Dynamic Campaign.

Company of Heroes 3 is currently set to be released on February 23, 2023, for PC. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions are rumored.
