Code Vein has always featured a standout element: the character creator. Many players have spent significant time in the editor crafting their perfect character. Code Vein 2 brings back this extensive character creator with new additions, such as refined facial sliders and improved physics.
After finalizing a character, players can still change their appearance at any time if they want to pursue a different look. However, there are a few things players will need to do first to unlock that feature in Code Vein 2.
Games That Should Not Have Been Souls-likes
These games would have been better experiences had they chosen not to add Soulslike elements to the gameplay.
How to Change Appearance in Code Vein 2
After you finalize your character, the game will put you in the tutorial section. During this section, players must proceed all the way to the point where they meet Noah. The tutorial section will continue while accompanying Noah, and you will have to make your way to the main institute on MagMell island.
As there are no restrictions for you to take a certain path, you can explore the whole island if you want, but it is better to press on to the main objective, as you will later have to explore the island regardless.
Once you make it to the MagMell building, after you are done with the cutscenes, you will be able to explore the whole building. There are NPCs inside, like Jadwiga, who sells weapons and can also upgrade your weapon, Formae, and even the Jail you carry. If you are looking to change your appearance first, then from the Mistle here, head left and turn right to go up the stairs.
Keep following the path and take the first left. You will see a blue doorway curtain, and you have to go through it to find several mirrors in the room. You can interact with any of these tables.
Depending on which edition you purchased, there are several outfits that come along. You get the Forma Face Paint if you pre-ordered any edition of the game. The Deluxe edition gives the Custom Outfit Pack that contains Lavish Kimono, Mad Swordsman, and Cyber Ninja. It also comes with the Ame-no-Habakiri Greatsword, which is quite a powerful weapon early on in the game.
In addition to this, if you purchased the Ultimate edition, you get the Character Costume Set that contains six costumes based on characters from the original game, Code Vein. With this, you have a lot of options to choose from and can even change at any point in the game while trying out new styles.
