Call of Duty: Warzone celebrates the Halloween season in style with exciting challenges and events for gamers to participate in, including the Haunting jumpscares interaction and the Operation Nightmare event. This event is outright scary and ghoulish and features some anomalous entities like Butcher from Diablo 4.
Players must hunt and take down these nighttime bosses for unique rewards. Although Warzone's The Haunting 2023 is quite terrifying, and the bosses are nasty, players can easily defeat them, and here's how to do so.
How To Find And Beat All Operation Nightmare Bosses
Players should know all Operation Nightmare Bosses and where to find them before hunting them down. The location of all the monsters and creatures can be found on Warzone's Tac Map for both Vondel, which is haunted by a floating door, and Al Mazrah. Here's a list of all the scary bosses and how to beat them:
The Butcher
The Butcher is Diablo's monster, making an appearance in Warzone for the Halloween season. Their location is marked on the tac map at the start of the game, but players should know they can spawn various locations. To fight The Butcher, players must activate the Altars of Lilith, which opens a portal. Check the tac map to see where they've spawned (e.g.: Al Mazrah City, Zarqwa Hydroelectric, Al Samman Cemetery, or Zaya Observatory).
Activating the Altars spawns Zombies that the player must kill until the ritual is complete. Upon activating all the Altars, a portal appears. Enter the portal with lots of explosives and ammo to take on The Butcher and the zombies surrounding him. Killing The Butcher unlocks the meat hook for Diablo 4 and earns players a Modern Warfare 2 calling card.
Swamp Creature
Players can find the Swamp Creature in Al Mazrah, which is marked as Mawizeh Marshlands on the tac map. To fight the Swamp Creature, players must open the egg pods to find the Tiara; the Tiara forces the creature to spawn. Use ammo to kill and defeat the Swamp Creature before it re-emerges into the swamp. Players can loot the items in the pod and trade the Tiara for $100,000.
The Pharaoh
Players can find The Pharaoh in the Oasis Point in Al Mazrah, which was expected to experience changes earlier this year. To spawn the monster, players must kill possessed enemies in the desert ruins and collect their skulls. Placing these skulls on the sarcophagus awakens The Pharaoh for a fight. Players need a total of 10 skulls to get in a battle with The Pharaoh.
Defeating The Pharaoh can be pretty challenging as they are fast, almost bullet-proof, and have possessed enemies attacking back. For single players, emptying all rounds quickly increases the chances of beating The Pharaoh, but multi-players have a better chance of killing them. Players who successfully beat the Pharaoh get a Pharaoh calling card.
UFO
Players can find UFOs in Al Mazrah's Sawah Village Coastline. These mini blue flying orbs may not be as scary as Zombies, but they shoot lasers at players, instantly killing those without cover or armor. To spawn the mothership, players must take down all mini-orbs.
Upon spawning the mothership, use bullets and rockets to destroy it, and it will drop to the ground. Players must collect the artifact dropped and take it to the spawning portal on the ship. While defeating the UFO is pretty straightforward and unlocks the UFO calling card, it requires a lot of ammo.
Ghost Train
Players can find the Ghost Train on Al Mazrah's train tracks, which is marked on the tac map using a special icon. Players must enter the train from above and begin looting everything until they find and collect the heart in the scary safe to unlock the Ghost Train calling card. To find the safe, players must fight their way through tripwires, mines, and claymores that can quickly blow up. Tossing C4 or other explosives in the train ahead of time can help eliminate these traps.
Evil Spirits
The Evil Spirits are located in four locations marked on the tac map. Visit each location and open all four supply boxes to find a special item that pops up on the screen when the challenge is complete. This completes the mission and unlocks the Evil Spirits calling card.
