A brand-new Call of Duty update means the arrival of a wide range of game modes available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone. Alongside the arrival of the Spear and the Torque 35, Season 5's mid-season update includes numerous modes and limited-time events for players to participate in.
Some game modes are variations of staples that feature in Call of Duty every year, while others are original offerings bound to spice up the existing selection of modes in multiplayer and the battle royale. Here are all of the game modes and limited-time events arriving as part of the Season 5 Reloaded update.

All MW3 Season 5 Reloaded Game Modes
- Up first is Cyber Attack, a game mode that made its debut in 2019's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Players load into the map with the aim of securing control of an EMP device located in the center of the battlefield. Once secure, teams battle it out to plant the device at the enemy data center. The first team to win five rounds is declared the winner.
- Fishfection is a fresh take on the popular Infected game mode. Instead of the usual rules, teams of cats and fish face off against each other using the Spear and Torque 35. The fish must attempt to eliminate the feline opposition to win the match. Infect all of the cats and switch them to fish before the time limit to secure victory.
- Previous Call of Duty titles have featured an ability for players to change the game's appearance to feature paintballs, but in Season 5 Reloaded, Sledgehammer Games has taken things up a level with the arrival of a dedicated paintball game mode. Players compete in Hardpoint and Domination matches across a range of maps. Weapon performance has also improved with one paintball required to hit the target to secure an elimination.
- The last Modern Warfare 3 game mode arriving in Season 5 Reloaded is Defuse or Destroy, a unique take on the iconic Search and Destroy. Each round of Defuse or Destroy begins with the bomb already planted at one of two locations. Players must defend the objective until the timer ticks to zero while the other attempts to defuse it before the clock runs out.
All Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Game Modes
The mid-season update includes the arrival of one new game mode in the form of Supreme Resurgence. Instead of the map featuring ground loot players often overlook, the loot pool has been overhauled in favor of weaponry inspired by the ever-changing Warzone meta.
With stronger weaponry on offer as soon as players land, the price of a Loadout Drop has increased as a result. Alongside higher costs, the Resurgence timer takes longer to tick down. Players can reduce the timer more quickly by performing actions such as opening loot caches or scoring kills.
Achieving victory also unlocks some unique rewards. Players who manage to become the last squad standing will unlock the Spilled Beans weapon camouflage that can be attached to any gun or melee weapon in the arsenal.

What Is The Warzone Recon Flyover Public Event?
The Recon Flyover Public Event is a new addition to Warzone in Season 5 Reloaded. At random, matches will see two Advanced UAVs fly over, with scanned players appearing on the minimap as a red arrow.
Players can evade the UAV pings by staying out of range, which is particularly useful when it comes to earning the Ghost victory title.
All MW3 & Warzone Season 5 Reloaded Events
The number of limited-time events arriving in the final stages of the Modern Warfare 3 and current Warzone cycle shows no signs of easing off. The second half of Season 5 features two limited-time events packed with a variety of rewards for players to unlock.
- Beginning on August 21 and running until August 28 is the Wldlife Most Wanted Event. Players can earn ten rewards and an XP boost if they're using Operator skins from specific store bundles.
- From September 12 to September 18 is the Emotional Overdrive event. Similar to the Wildlife Most Wanted event, there are ten rewards up for grabs. There's also an XP boost for players using skins from the Tracer Pack: Emoting Ultra Skin bundle.
There are plenty of fresh game modes and events for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Call of Duty: Warzone players to get stuck into. With only two more seasonal updates after Season 5 Reloaded, it won't be long before the focus starts moving toward Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
