Call of Duty: Warzone’s annual Haunting Event has kicked off just in time for Halloween, and Souls are the new currency. Farming Souls has become a main priority for players as they can be traded for free rewards across the Warzone battle royale and other special weapons.

Farming Souls is a terrifying and dangerous venture that requires strategic gameplay and wits, but it’s one of the most important things in the event. Since The Haunting is only available for a limited time, players may want to capture as many souls as possible for better rewards.

How to Farm Souls in the Haunting Event

Players can farm souls during the Soul Capture event in the Haunting. Regardless of the mode being played, gamers earn Captured Souls for every player they beat. When a player kills an enemy, they drop a Soul, and to claim victory, the surviving player picks it up. So, the quickest and fastest way to collect Souls in Warzone’s The Haunting is to eliminate other players. This tactic requires aggressive gameplay to seek out enemies and engage in numerous fights. However, there’s a limit on the number of Souls players can capture in each match, which varies with each mode. This slows players down and makes the entire process a bit frustrating.

The best mode for collecting Souls in Warzone is the Vondel Lockdown mode, with an outstanding cap of 16 Souls. In addition, players don’t have to complete the entire match to collect the 16 Souls. Once a gamer collects all the Souls, they can exit the mode and trade their souls for rewards in The Haunting Section from the main menu. Other modes worth trying are Plunder and the Massive Resurgence, which is experiencing major changes.

Other than killing enemies in a match, players can also farm souls in the Haunting event by opening and looting chests in the battle royale. Defeating monsters lurking in Warzone maps, such as Al Mazrah, also gets players Souls. These include a UFO, a Ghost Train, and The Butcher from Diablo, which can all be accessed from The Operation Nightmare Screen.

Redeem Captured Souls

Players can trade Captured Souls for Halloween-themed rewards and items in DMZ. These include Weapon Charms, Weapon Blueprints, XP tokens, Calling Cards, and Tier Skips. Redeeming enough Souls may get players an exclusive skin for Konig and Roze. Warzone’s maps are large, as evident in the new map reveal, and the reduced player count can make it difficult to farm Souls, but with The Haunting event lasting all month, players have more than enough time to collect Souls.

Call of Duty: Warzone is available now for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
