Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1 is here, and while Multiplayer fans have tons of new maps to try out and Warzone players have the Haven's Hollow Resurgence map, Astra Malorum enters the fray for Zombies players. Embark on an epic new quest in a space-bound observatory from Liberty Falls, all while fending off the undead.
Astra Malorum has plenty of new secrets to uncover, but one task that players must complete across the board is powering the Pack-a-Punch. This requires turning on the power to Astra Malorum, which can be done in just a few quick steps. Here is how to activate the Astra Malorum Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 7 Zombies.

Where to Find the Astra Malorum Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 7 Zombies
The Pack-a-Punch Machine on Astra Malorum is located in the Observatory Dome, which players can reach via one of two paths. For those who are not playing Cursed, both paths are laid out via the game’s objective markers, but here is a quick rundown on how to reach the Observatory Dome:
-
Path One:
- Open the door to the Museum Infinitum from the Crash Site
- Open the door to Scholar's Way from the Museum Infinitum
- Progress on to the Machina Astralis
- Open the door from the Machina Astralis to the Archive of Orbs
- Keep pushing forward from the Archive of Orbs to The Veilwalk
- The Veilwalk will lead you to the Observatory Dome.
-
Path Two:
- Open the door to the Luminarium from the Crash Site
- Open the door to the Abyssal Rim from the Luminarium
- Keep pushing forward toward the end of the Abyssal Rim
- Purchase the door to the Observatory Dome.
How to Activate the Astra Malorum Pack-a-Punch in Black Ops 7 Zombies
Initially, when players reach the Observatory Dome, they will be unable to see the Pack-a-Punch and will instead find a big telescope and a Harmonic Oculus. Players will need to interact with this instrument to turn on the power to Astra Malorum.
Once players interact with the Harmonic Oculus, they will need to find two items to repair it, which can actually be retrieved before they interact with the device. Once again, if you are not playing Cursed, these items will be displayed via the objective markers. The first component can be found at Machina Astralis by the Arsenal Machine. The second is located at The Luminarium by the Stellar Dissector Trap.
Once both components are collected, head back to the Harmonic Oculus and interact with it. From here, interact with the side of the device to power it on. After this, a lockdown sequence will begin, where you must defend the Harmonic Oculus from waves of zombies. This lockdown sequence lasts for 45 seconds, and you must kill any zombies attempting to attack the device. Failing to do so will require you to try again next round.
Upon completing the lockdown sequence, the Pack-a-Punch will spawn just below the telescope, ready for when players want to upgrade their weapons. Unlike in Ashes of the Damned, the Pack-a-Punch will remain in this location for the entire game.
