How to Get All Relics in Ashes of the Damned's Cursed Mode (Black Ops 7 Zombies)
Black Ops 7 Zombies features a unique Cursed Mode that holds 9 Relics for players to discover, and here's where to get them all and what they do.
Updated on January 30, 2026, by Jake Fillery: All Astra Malorum Relics have been found! Below, we've listed all 6 Astra Malroum Relics and how to get them, including the recently discovered Matryoshka Doll, Golden Spork, Gong, and the official solution to solving the Civil Protector Head Relic.
How to Get All Tier 1 Relics (Grim Relics) in Astra Malorum
How to Get the Seed Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Seed Relic disables the Mystery Box.
The Seed Relic can be acquired as early as Round 20. As soon as Round 20 hits, you'll want to avoid killing zombies, and instead hunt across the map for a gray-rarity pistol. This pistol can randomly be the Jager 45, Velox 5.7, or the Coda 9, and it will spawn within these locations:
- Observatory Dome
- The Luminarium
- Archives of Orbis
- Machina Astralis
Once you find your pistol, you should not Pack-a-Punch or upgrade its rarity with The Arsenal. Instead, you'll want to kill the same number of zombies as your Round with the gray pistol. This means if you are on Round 20, kill 20 zombies, and if you're on Round 26, kill 26 zombies. (Make sure it's not in your Mule Kick 3rd gun slot). This is easily achieved with an Instakill Power Up, acquired from a Kill Joy GobbleGum, or by shooting the floating skull at Scholar's Way (click here).
Make sure you're tracking your kills with the scoreboard. As soon as you've gotten the same kills as your Round counter, switch out to another weapon and finish the round with anything but the pistol, and you should hear a Mr. Peeks laugh.
With Mr. Peeks laugh, you'll want to go to the Observatory Dome, where you'll find a green portal when facing north. Inside the trial, you will only have a Pack-a-Punched Pistol. You cannot further Pack-a-Punch the pistol, but you can upgrade its rarity and give it ammo mods at the Arsenal.
We recommend acquiring a Disciple Injection and running around the map to kill zombies with traps, as the trial itself has 2 waves of zombies and 2 waves of HVT Shock Mimics. After all enemies are defeated, the Seed Relic is rewarded to you!
How to Get the Gong Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Gong Relic makes it so that Field Upgrades can only be charged with a Full Power Power Up.
The Gong Relic can be acquired from Round 20 onwards, but first, you're going to need to bring the Tesla Storm Field Upgrade and Dead Wire Ammo Mod. For both of these items, we recommend having no Augments, as you don't want them to be lethal to zombies, as they're simply the triggers needed for the Relic, and we'll explain how.
On Round 20, a zombie will spawn on the map with a lightning rod sticking out of its body. This is very hard to see among the horde, but the rod zombie (dubbed Rodney) will never despawn. For that reason, we recommend training zombies in the Observatory Dome, then using the teleporter to return to the spawn area. This will allow you to kill all present zombies, and when you return to the Observatory Dome, there should be a zombie remaining with a rod sticking out of it.
With the rod zombie located, you will need to take it to a specific doorway, where you will shoot it with Dead Wire, and while it's stunned with Dead Wire, you will need to activate Tesla Storm. This will see a surge of electricity leave the zombie and enter the lightbulb above the door frame. Only 1 rod zombie spawns per round, so this needs to be repeated across three rounds. Here's where to find the lightbulbs that you need to charge with the rod zombie, Dead Wire, and Tesla Storm combo:
- Observatory Dome - Above the door facing east into the Veilwalk.
- Archive of Orbis - Above the door facing south into the Machinas Astralis
- The Luminarium - Above the door facing east into Stargazer's Courtyard
Once all three lightbulbs have been lit, you will find a green portal that starts the trial at the entrance to the Observatory Dome, next to a destroyed pillar in the northeast. The trial for the Gong Relic makes it so that you can only damage enemies with electric damage. This means for the trial, you must have Dead Wire equipped, as nothing else will work. The M34 Novaline is great for this trial, as you need to kill 1 wave of zombies, then a wave of Core Uber Klauses, then another zombie wave, and finally, an HVT Uber Klaus.
How to Get All Tier 2 Relics (Sinister Relics) in Astra Malorum
How to Get the Spider Fang Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Spider Fang Relic makes it so that Perks costs at machines never decrease.
To get the Spider Fang Relic, you must be on at least Tier 1 Cursed, and you must reach Round 40. On Round 40, you will need to melee kill O.S.C.A.R. With the Knife while Wisp Tea is targeting him. To make this easier, we recommend ignoring O.S.C.A.R. In the early rounds, as his health will not scale with the Round as long as he spawned in on an early Round.
We also recommend using No Major Augment for Wisp Tea, as the default Wisp Tea Perk will be able to target O.S.C.A.R. And deal insignificant damage, so that you can get the kill with your Knife. Extension and Haste are great Minor Augments that will help Wisp Tea stick around for longer, and appear faster.
Melee Macchiato, a Tier 3 Pack-a-Punch Knife with Legendary Rarity, is also recommended to help O.S.C.A.R. Die faster while Wisp Tea is still focused on him. We also recommend Aether Shroud with the Afterimage Major Augment to distract O.S.C.A.R. So you can damage him without risk of death.
Once you've defeated O.S.C.A.R. With a melee attack while Wisp Tea is also targeting him, an orange portal will spawn at the west wall of the Archive of Orbis. The trial for the Spider Fang Relic disables all Perks, and they cannot be purchased during the trial. You'll have to deal with 5 waves of zombies. The 2nd wave has you fight an HVT Uber Klaus, and the 5th wave has you fight an HVT O.S.C.A.R.
The best strategy to survive this trial is to stay on the move and use the Apogee Annihilator trap at the Stargazer's Courtyard, as this shreds enemies, as does a Pack-a-Punched Ray Gun.
How to Get the Matryoshka Doll Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Matryoshka Doll Relic makes it so that Salvage drop rates are halved.
To obtain the Matryoshka Doll Relic, you will need to reach Round 40, have C4, and have access to Mars. Accessing Mars is part of the main easter egg (which you can find here). Once you're on Mars, head to the central circular altar on the map, where you will then need to get kills within the circle using C4. One or two big hordes on Round 40+ should do the trick here, and we assume it's around 50+ zombie kills with C4 in the circle.
Once you've heard Mister Peeks laugh, you can head to the south wall in the Machina Astralis room, where the cryo pod is located. Inside, you'll find the glowing yellow relic portal. The trial for the Matryoshka Doll makes it so that enemies can only be killed while using a Field Upgrade. Thankfully, Field Upgrades automatically recharge around 15 seconds, so you won't need Power Kegs and other GobbleGums.
For the trial, we recommend the War Machine Scorestreak against the Shock Mimic HVTs and the O.S.C.A.R. HVT on Wave 5. This trial is made a breeze with Frenzied Guard, as you will get more durable armor, and if you use Frenzy Fire as an Augment, that's infinite stock ammo to make killing zombies with your guns far quicker.
How to Get All Tier 3 Relics (Wicked Relics) in Astra Malorum
How to Get the Golden Spork Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Golden Spork Relic makes it so that enemies deal double damage.
For the Golden Spork Relic, you will need to reach Round 60 and progress through the main easter egg until you reach Mars. The only item you need for this Relic is the Mangler Cannon Scorestreak. After acquiring a Mangler Cannon, teleport to Mars. Now, on Mars, shoot the Mangler Cannon into the teleporter that will take you back to Astra Malorum, then immediately teleport back to Astra Malorum. You will have 10 seconds before the Mangler Cannon shot you fired will land in the red ritual circle in the Machina Astralis room (north of the portal), and this shot must kill at least 10 or more zombies, so train around the area until the shot lands.
After enough zombies have been killed from the red circle, you'll hear a Mister Peeks laugh, and the trial portal will spawn in the Crash Site, specifically to the left of the Quick Revive perk machine on a wall that leads to the Museum Infinitum. The trial itself requires you to get kills while hip-firing, which is rather easy, even if it is Round 60. Just be prepared to fight an HVT Uber Klaus and HVT O.S.C.A.R. On Wave 6, so a War Machine is advised.
How to Get the Civil Protector Head Relic (& Its Effect) in Black Ops 7 Zombies
- The Civil Protector Head makes it so that every 100 kills, you will lose a Perk.
After reaching Round 60 on Tier 2 or Tier 3 Cursed, you can enter the Museum Infinitum (where Speed Cola is located), and each corner of the room will have a chandelier with a single lit candle, which we've detailed in the images above and diagram below:
- Front Left (A) — 2 candles, with 1 lit
- Front Right (B) — 2 candles, with 1 lit
- Back Left (C) — 3 candles, with 1 lit
- Back Right (D) — 1 candle, with 1 lit
The objective is to extinguish each candle in a specific order, which is done through an explosive flop of PhD Flopper (wall explosion or dive explosion). To get the correct candles order, you'll need to use an Energy Mine Field Upgrade next to Ol' Tessie in the Crash Site. Doing so will see Tessie's front lights flash 3 times, and now, one by one, Tessie's headlights (front) and brake lights (back) will flash in a unique order, and repeat infinitely.
To make it easier, we've translated how this works in the diagram above. However, you'll want to make sure you're following it correctly. Tessie's front lights will be listed as A and B. The A chandelier is on the left, closest to Stargazer's Courtyard, whereas chandelier B is to the right, closest to Stargazer's Courtyard. The back lights of Tessie are C and D, with the left back light being C (closest chandelier to the Crash Site/spawn), and the opposite for D, which will be the right of the room and the right back light. Once you have your order noted, extinguish the candles in the order shown after the 3 flashing lights, and you'll get a Mister Peeks laugh.
The trial portal can be found next to the Rampage Inducer in the Crash Site, and the trial itself makes it so that every zombie is a super sprinter. As for the HVTs, you will have to fight an Uber Klaus and an O.S.C.A.R., so bring a War Machine for those pesky killers.
