Armor Plates are an essential mechanic in Black Ops 7 Zombies, where players can further increase the Tiers of their Armor to mitigate more damage dealt by the undead hordes. If players want to take more hits before dying, then Armor is essential, but to keep Armor, you need to find Armor Plates that are dropped from zombies, or purchased for Salvage at Crafting Tables. However, you might be wasting Armor Plates for when you go to replate, as the system forces you to apply armor all at once when the armor block isn't even empty. Luckily, there's a setting in place to fix that so you can keep your Armor Plates for when you manually want to use them.
How to Change Armor Replate Settings in Black Ops 7 Zombies
To change the Armor Plate Behavior so that you only apply one plate at a time instead of one after the other, you will need to follow these simple instructions:
- Head to the in-game Settings
- Navigate to Controller/Keyboard & Mouse
- Head to Combat
- Under Combat Behaviors, select Armor Plate Behavior
- Change Armor Plate Behavior to Apply One
With these settings applied, you can now hold Triangle/Y to replate, but you will do so one at a time. This means once you release the Triangle/Y button, you will stop applying armor plates. Before this, you would have the setting at Apply All, which means you automatically start to apply the next plate, which is not needed if you are only missing a small chunk of armor durability.
