Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 2 has kicked off to a strong start, with a wide range of new content for players to explore. How Does the Escalation Directive Event Work in Black Ops 7 & Warzone?

The Escalation Directive Event is very different from many previous events in Black Ops 7 and Warzone, as it takes the form of a mini Mastery Camo grind. In this event, players can earn four base camo rewards by completing challenges across different weapon classes in each gamemode, along with four additional Mastery Camos for each mode by completing all challenges for each weapon type.

These challenges and rewards are separated between Co-Op and Endgame, Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone, meaning players will need to play all modes if they want to unlock every camo. As a bonus, an additional Mastery Weapon reward, the SG-12 Shotgun, can also be unlocked by completing at least nine challenges in total during the event’s runtime. For unlocking all previous camos, players will also be granted the secret Incandescence Camo.

To unlock the SG-12 Shotgun, players simply need to complete a total of nine weapon challenges as part of the Escalation Directive Event. It does not matter which order or mode players choose to complete these challenges in, though the fastest and most effective way to get the SG-12 may be to complete all the Warzone weapon challenges, as they are the easiest.

When Does the Escalation Directive Event End in Black Ops 7 & Warzone?

The Escalation Directive Event officially begins on February 12 at 10 AM PT. It will run for two weeks, ending on February 26 at 10 AM PT. All camo rewards tied to the event are only earnable during its runtime, so if you miss unlocking them, they will be gone forever. The SG-12, on the other hand, will move to the Armory for players who have not already unlocked it once the event ends.
