Black Ops 7 players will have a Permanent Unlock Token available to them if they purchased the Vault Edition of the game, but all players will get a Permanent Unlock Token when they decide to Prestige. Every rank of Prestige will provide you with a Permanent Unlock Token, and these can be spent so that you can immediately unlock an item of your choice without having to reach the specified Level. This unlock is also permanent, meaning you never have to unlock it again, even when you hit further Prestige ranks. Across Zombies and Multiplayer, there are a few choices that you have that will really make a difference, and here's what they are:
We've selected 4 Multiplayer uses for the Permanent Unlock Token, and 4 Zombies uses, listed in order of what we view as the most important to get.
For Multiplayer Players: Specialist Wildcard
Trade Scorestreaks for Perks
- Unlock Level 53
- Description: Replace your Scorestreaks with 3 Perks. You earn them at 200, 400, and 600 Score. Earn all remaining eligible perks at 1200 Score.
The Specialist Wildcard is a game-changer, truly. With Specialist, you will no longer have Scorestreaks, but instead, 3 Perks. At 200 Score, 400 Score, and 600 Score, you will earn more Perks, meaning you can have a total of 6+ Perks in your loadout. This can truly change the tides of war by providing you with Perks and bonuses that will make you unstoppable. It's a great Wildcard, and it's also locked until Level 53, so you can get it right now with a Permanent Unlock Token. Sacrificing Scorestreaks for more Perks is always a good idea to those who want power.
For Multiplayer Players: MPC-25 (Or Your Favorite Gun)
The Final Unlock is a Great SMG You Might Want to Use
- Unlock Level 55
- Description: Full-auto submachine gun. Very high damage and excellent mobility and handling. Very high recoil and limited range.
The MPC-25 is the final unlock, so you can get your hands on this gun at Level 55. Usually, we wouldn't advise spending your Prestige Token on a weapon unless you absolutely love the weapon itself, as you can acquire Blueprints through Battle Passes and the Store that will also permanently unlock the weapon you like. However, the MPC-25 is a gun that many players might not use because it's the final level unlock, so you'll constantly be getting it, hitting Prestige, only to get it again. If you're not into SMGs, then feel free to focus on any gun of your choice with the Permanent Unlock Token, but it's worth noting that the MPC-25 excels in short-range maps. Extremely high damage, mobility, and handling, this weapon might have a limited range, but the DPS will tear through small rooms with ease.
For Multiplayer Players: Gunfighter Wildcard
Instead of 5 Attachments, Try 8!
- Unlock Level 29
- Description: Get 3 extra attachment points for your Primary weapon.
When you enter your Create-a-Class to create a Custom Loadout, your Primary weapon is restricted to just 5 Attachments. Attachments can make or break any weapon by helping with the recoil, whether they're silenced, or just general helpful builds that can turn them into more competent killing machines. However, 5 Attachments might not be enough, which is why Gunfighter is a great Wildcard to allow you to have a total of 8 Attachments at once. However, this is locked until Level 29, so if you have a Blueprint that requires more than 5 Attachments, strongly consider spending a Prestige Token on this one.
For Multiplayer Players: Tracker Perk (Or Your Favorite Perk)
- Unlock Level 32
- Description: See enemy footsteps in the world. ADSing auto-pings enemies. Killing an enemy shows the direction of the next closest enemy on your minimap. Combat Specialty: Recon
Another thing to consider with the Permanent Unlock Tokens is that of Perks. There are 3 Perk Slots, and each of them offers a unique trait that will turn you into a great killer. Whether it's a focus on stealth, action, or equipment, you can use Perks to your advantage, but a lot of them are locked into the late Levels. A personal favorite of ours is Tracker, as it will indicate where the next enemy for you to kill is located, along with their footsteps on the ground. However, you can use your Permanent Unlock Token on any Perk you'd like that's just a bit far from the Level range.
For Zombies Players: Napalm Burst
This Ammo Mod is Super Effective Against Zursa, the Zombie Bears
- Description: Bullets deal Fire damage. Each bullet has a chance to apply a burn effect on Normal and Special Enemies, dealing damage over time.
- Unlock Level: 35
Ammo Mods can be equipped from The Arsenal for Salvage, and Napalm Burst is definitely one to consider. While it's pretty good against the zombies that you'll be fighting every round, it's mainly a choice that you will want to make if you encounter Zursa, the zombie bears that appear on Ashes of the Damned and the Farm Survival Map on Round 16+. These zombie bears are deadly beasts, but they are weak to Napalm Burst, which will be locked until Level 35. If you plan on grinding zombies and reaching high rounds, maybe get Napalm Burst.
For Zombies Players: Combat Axe
A Lethal and Re-Equippable Throwing Axe
- Description: Thrown axe that kills enemies in one hit. Bounces off surfaces.
- Unlock Level: 54
The Combat Axe is extremely useful as your Lethal Equipment in Zombies, specifically because it can be thrown and picked up again. By using a Prestige Token on the Combat Axe, you will be able to equip it in your loadout and craft it at the Crafting Table without having to wait until you get to Level 54, which is right at the end of a Prestige track. The Combat Axe is extremely effective and will kill zombies very easily in the high rounds thanks to its fast throw and lethal damage, and it's also great to toss into Zursa's roaring face.
For Zombies Players: Aether Shroud
The Field Upgrade That Will Prevent Your Untimely Death
- Description: Phase into the Dark Aether and become temporarily hidden from enemy detection.
- Unlock Level: 48
Aether Shroud will be a crutch Field Upgrade that can save you from death, as it allows you to be temporarily camouflaged from enemies. A simple activation will see you become invisible, and you can run and shoot zombies while they ignore you for a short amount of time. This is great if you're stuck in a corner or one hit away from death, as you can use the Aether Shroud and regain your health and your bearings. While veterans will have Aether Shroud thanks to their Augment Research unlocks, other players will have to wait until Level 48, so if you intend to grind zombies, this Field Upgrade is worth the asking price.
For Zombies Players: Disciple Injection
A Life-Saver of a Scorestreak
- Description: Temporarily transforms you into a Disciple.
- Unlock Level: 53
Scorestreaks are also tied to unlock Levels in Zombies, meaning if you have the Salvage but not the Level, then you still won't be able to head to a Crafting Table and grab the Disciple Injection. Sadly, this epic Scorestreak is locked until Level 53, so if you ever want a chance to use it outside of Prestige, then it's time to spend a Token. The Disciple Injection is great for getting kills and staying alive, as it provides you with the ability to transform into a Disciple, much like the Mutant Injection. It can really help when you're in a pinch, and the damage is pretty nice too.
