Clash Royale: Complete Guide to A Tale of Thieves Season

After all the birthday fun in March, Clash Royale’s new season, A Tale of Thieves, is here, and it’s bringing a lot of fantastic stuff. April’s update also came with some big changes, like the Season Shop’s gone, the reward system got a nice revamp, chest timers are out, and now you’re earning more daily crowns, gold, cards, and lucky drops.

With all these exciting (and maybe a bit overwhelming) changes, A Tale of Thieves feels like a solid follow-up. This season offers a new six-elixir Champion card, a cool Evolution, four weekly events and challenges, tower skins, themed emotes, and more.

Here’s a quick look at everything that’s dropped in Clash Royale this April.

Latest Battle Arena

First up, there’s a brand-new battle arena called Stolen Crown Arena. The old birthday-themed background is gone now, and this fresh new look adds an intense twist to the game. You’ll see it pop up during events and challenges in the Events section.

New Cards and Evolutions

Next, you'll meet the Boss Bandit. She’s the latest Champion added to the game, making it eight Champs in total now—joining names like Goblinstein, Little Prince, and Mighty Miner. Boss Bandit dashes at enemies, turns invisible, and teleports backward mid-fight, which can really throw your opponent off. And her ability recharges right away when her health hits 50%.

Also, the Executioner got a fresh one-cycle evolution. Once evolved, his axe hits harder and pushes away nearby enemies, making him even more dangerous in close-range fights. You can test out his evo form in the special event or unlock it through the Diamond Pass.

All New Tower Skins, Emotes, and Banners

• Tower Skins (Premium): Bandit Tower Skin and Royal Delivery Tower Skin.
• Emotes (Paid): Three Boss Bandits, two Evo Executioners, and two other emotes.
• Banners: Nine unique banners you can unlock by winning in Challenges and through Pass Royale.

Card Boosts and Tournaments

• Card Buffs: Executioner, Bandit, Firecracker, and Rascals.
• Global Tournament: Standard (April 11-14) and Triple Draft (April 25-28).
