Clair Obscur Expedition 33 features numerous types of abilities for your characters, called Pictos. The more of these you have, the more ways you are going to be able to customize your characters to fit the builds you want to make for your playthrough.

The prologue to Clair Obscur Expedition 33 can offer players numerous early rewards that appear to be mysterious items. As you progress, they can prove to show their uses as you meet new faces throughout the world. Before departing on your own expedition, you can obtain something called a Weird Picto. Here is what it can be used for.

What to do With Weird Pictos in Clair Obscur Expedition 33

Weird Pictos are an item you can obtain early in the game. The final part of the prologue is you engaging with the other members of your expedition before departing. One of them will be able to give you a weird picto in exchange for a token, which can be earned through other expedition members that offer challenges like sparring with Maelle again.

Once you obtain this weird picto by echanging it for one of these tokens, it can be traded to a vendor that can be found in the Gestral Village. This is a location integral to the story, which you will come across after roughly 4 hours into a playthrough. Its surprisingly boisterous environment and characters provide a breath of fresh air from the initial chaos and gravity that comes with the beginning of the game.

Upon arriving at the entrance to this village, immediately to your left will be this walkway of vendors and NPC's you can interact with. Immediately on your left at the beginning of this walkway is a vendor who can give you items in exchange for some materials. If you have obtained the weird picto from earlier on in the game, this vendor could have you exchange it for a new picto that you can equip to your characters.

After testing, the chances of this vendor letting you exchange the weird picto are not always guaranteed. It may require you to return to the village after some time has passed. Fighting these Gestral vendors can also open up another level of their available items for sale. However, this did not seem to increase the chances of the Gestral being able to take the weird picto for a regular one.
