Every frame of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is crammed with detail, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that even the most hardcore fans still have new things to discover.
When it was released back in April 2025, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 became one of the surprise packages of the year. It was the first game from developer Sandfall Interactive, and was instantly catapulted into the 2025 Game of the Year race. Even with more great games in the months since, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has remained right in the conversation for the top prizes later this year. Thanks to great word of mouth, the game also recently reached the incredible 5 million sales milestone, a massive achievement for a small studio like Sandfall Interactive.

There Are Still Some Secrets Hidden in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 to Find Yet
Speaking to Eurogamer, director Guillaume Broche revealed that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has more secrets for players to discover, "but I don't want to say them because they won't be secrets anymore. Maybe they have been found, but I haven't seen anything about it. There are still a few things, yeah." However, in some instances, Broche found players were 'discovering' secrets that weren't there, claiming "The funny thing is [fans] found secrets that were absolutely not secrets originally. And we are just like, ok cool. I guess that's a secret!"
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 players have been noticing interesting details about the game since it released, but six months later, gamers would be forgiven for thinking that everything had already been uncovered. It's exciting to think that there's even more hidden away there, even if Broche won't offer any hints as to what these secrets are.
There could be even more secrets on the way to the game, too. It was recently revealed that Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is getting a free update in the future, which will add an entirely new location to the game and more. If it's filled with the same level of detail as the base game, then it's very possible it will also hold brand-new secrets for players to discover.
