There are nine Lost Gestrals in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and players who find them will receive in-game rewards and an achievement. Locating the Lost Gestrals can be a bit tricky, though, as some of them are quite well-hidden. Indeed, players may struggle to track down several of the Lost Gestrals in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and this guide is here to assist players that find themselves in that situation.
Before a player puts much effort towards finding Lost Gestrals, they may want to peruse the list of rewards at the bottom of this guide and confirm that those rewards are actually of interest.
How to Get and Use the Old Key in Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (Old Door Location)
There's a strange, locked door hidden in Old Lumiere, but how does one open it in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33?
This guide reveals characters that are unlocked, abilities that become available, and locations that are visited as players work to complete the game.
All Lost Gestral Locations in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Lost Gestral #1
The first Lost Gestral can be found in front of Esquie's Nest, a location that players will visit after resolving matters in the Gestral Village during Act 1 of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. While this Lost Gestral is very difficult to miss, their position has been marked on the preceding map for the sake of full clarity.
Lost Gestral #2
As players approach the entrance to the Stone Wave Cliffs, they will see a path to their right that leads to a Bourgeon. There is a Lost Gestral in an alcove just beyond that enemy.
Lost Gestral #3
After unlocking the ability to swim, players should enter the water to the west of the Gestral Village. Players should then swim to the island to the northwest, which is home to a portal that can be used to enter White Tree. There is a Lost Gestral in the area just west of that portal.
Lost Gestral #4
There is a Lost Gestral just southeast of Monoco's Station, a location that players will visit during Act 2. To find this Gestral, the player should turn their back to the entrance to Monoco's Station and walk forward and to the left. As Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 players travel in this direction, they will see two green trees in front of them, and the Gestral is standing between them.
Lost Gestral #5
After unlocking the ability to swim through coral reefs, players should head to the beach southeast of Monoco's Station. There will now be an orange landmass to the player's east, and there is a small beach at its north end. The Lost Gestral is standing next to some small pots on that beach.
Lost Gestral #6
There is a red island northwest of Old Lumiere, and it is home to two mimes. The Lost Gestral is in the corner beyond those mimes.
Lost Gestral #7
After unlocking the ability to fly, go towards the Endless Tower, an optional location northwest of Stone Wave Cliffs. There is a single rock platform high in the air by the tower, and a Lost Gestral stands upon it.
Lost Gestral #8
When Esquie can fly, head towards the wooden tower to the west of Visages. There is a grassy area where Esquie can land just northeast of that tower, and a Lost Gestral is standing near some pots at its south end.
Lost Gestral #9
The final Lost Gestral can also only be accessed with the fly ability, and it is found within the red area southeast of Sirene. More specifically, it is northwest of the portal that is used to enter the Endless Night Sanctuary, near the group of Nevrons.
All Lost Gestral Rewards in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Every time a player finds a Lost Gestral, they can talk to Sastro to receive a reward. This NPC can be found at the camp that players can access any time they are on the Continent, and here is how to reach them:
- Pass by the campfire, and stick to the left path.
- Be on the lookout for a stack of crates. There is an entrance to a cave, in which Sastro can be found, just past that stack.
