How to Open the First Flying Waters Paint Cage in Clair Obscur Expedition 33
The first Paint Cage in the Flying Waters can be found in the early section of the level in Clair Obscur Expedition 33. After players follow along the critical path, they'll arrive in an open area with a whale statue in the middle. The paint cage can be found in the back of the area, next to the right boundary of the area.
- The first weak point you need to shoot can be found to the right of the Paint Cage, pulsating behind a row of reeds.
- The second weak point can be found to the left of the Paint Cage, glowing on a wall over the stone pillars.
- The last weak point is located on the fin of the whale statue, right opposite the Paint Cage.
Once all weak points are shot with projectiles, a beam of light will clash with the Paint Cage, opening it up for players to receive their reward. The first Paint Cage offers players a Chroma Elixir Shard, which can be used to restore the HP of all party members in the overworld.
How to Open the Second Flying Waters Paint Cage
Players will encounter the second Paint Cage in the Flying Waters right after reuniting with Maelle in the Manor. After exiting the Manor, head to the path on the right and keep following it till you pass the open area with a huge anchor in the middle, and a large Cruler blacksmith. After that, keep following the critical path, and you'll spot a small opening towards the right, highlighted in red. You'll enter the Coral Cave area of Flying Waters.
Drop into the hole and grapple to the other side to arrive in an open area with three large Crulers. There's a paint cage in the middle of the enemies, so you'll either have to defeat all the large monsters or simply quickly open up the Paint Cage, grab its reward, and run away.
- The first weak point can be found right behind the Paint Cage, up the cliff.
- The second weak point is located on a group of smaller stone pillars, located to the right of the Paint Cage.
- The last weak point is attached to a suspended underwater mine, opposite to the Paint Cage on the higher ground.
Once all three weak points are destroyed, you'll receive a Revive Tint Shard from the Paint Cage. A Revive Tint Shard adds a +1 charge to the Revive Tint usage within combat.
