Although the relationship mechanics are not the primary focus in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 gameplay, maximizing a character's friendship level is highly recommended, as it unlocks their final Gradient skills. The ability costs three Gradient points to cast, so it's expected that they're better than the one-cost and two-cost skills.
When it comes to Maelle, players can increase their relationship with her by completing her request to meet someone at The Reacher. After finishing this side quest, Maelle will be at friendship level 6, which means one more interaction with her will maximize the friendship level. Clair Obscur Expedition 33 - Crimson Forest 100% Guide (All Collectibles & Weapons)
Players will gain a weapon after exploring the Crimson Forest and defeating the area's boss in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
The Reacher Location In Expedition 33
The Reacher in Expedition 33 is located west of the Visages Axon area. Players must go there to complete Maelle's friendship quest.
To enter The Reacher, players must first unlock Esquie's flying skill in Expedition 33.
The Reacher Collectibles In Expedition 33
The Reacher is a large side area that contains many different Pictos, a Mime, a Manor Door, Weapons, a lot of Colour of Lumina, and much more. There are a total of six expedition flag Rest Points in The Reacher. The first five are:
- Entrance
- Mountain
- Ladder Area
- Foggy Area
- Peak
Entrance Expedition Flag Rest Point
After entering The Reacher, head up using the golden rope, and players will see a Paint Spike. Destroy it, then head up to get a 
Colour of Lumina.
Players must find four of Sastro's Lost Gestrals in Expedition 33 to unlock the Paint Break ability.
Head back down and continue forward to find some Orphelin Nevron in Expedition 33. Beat them, then go right to claim one more Colour of Lumina. Once done, head left and grapple across to progress in The Reacher.
After grappling, players will see another rope to go down. From here, there are three ways to go. One leads to Chroma, one to 
Draining Cleanse Pictos, while the other is where you need to go to progress. Take the two collectibles, then continue.
There should be a balloon in the distance to progress, but before going up, make sure to grab the Colour of Lumina on the left.
How To Beat Golgra (& The Rewards For Beating Her) In Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Golgra has a massive HP pool, so it's best to beat her in the late game. Here are all the rewards for beating Golgra in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
Mountain Expedition Flag Rest Point
Players should now arrive at the Mountain expedition flag. Keep going forward and fight the two Nevrons to get the 
Sniper Pictos.
Keep going, and players will see a road to the left to progress, while the right turn leads to a Pictos and some Chroma.
Jump over the ledges and grab the 
Longer Shell Pictos, then take the Chroma on the right.
Go back and take the route to progress, and soon there will be another balloon to keep going up. Before continuing, head left to claim two more Pictos in the side area.
Take Chroma on the right side, then go left to reach the two Pictos.
Defeat the enemies in the distance before entering the small gap, as the small gap loops back to where the Mountain area starts. The two Pictos from this area are 
Charging Counter and Charging Attack.
Since you'll loop back, make sure to go left to progress, then right to ride the balloon.
Ladder Area Expedition Flag Rest Point
Now, players will arrive at the Ladder Area. There are three routes to go: one leads to the lower side area, one leads to a Mime, while the final route is to progress in The Reacher area. Before taking any of the routes, make sure to grab the Colour of Lumina in the corner.
Next, go down the rope to meet a Mime. Defeat it to get Maelle's Baguette outfit and haircut in Expedition 33, then take the Colour of Lumina next to it.
After heading back up, players can look down to see the lower side area. There will be a platform to the right, but it's not accessible from the Ladder Area, so ignore it for now.
Go down, open the Manor Door in Expedition 33, and claim the Journal inside. Exit the manor, beat the enemy again, and go behind the door to claim a hidden Colour of Lumina. From above, players can see a Petank platform to the left, which means there's a Petank nearby.
Approach the Petank hidden behind the wooden structures across the Manor Door, and lead it to the Petank base.
The Petank will lead players to the three Orphelin. Beat them and claim the Colour of Lumina before proceeding with the Petank again.
To the left of the Petank platform is some Chroma. Take it, then beat the Petank to get:
RecoatNow that you're done with the three routes, head back up, then move forward to progress. Cross the wooden planks carefully to reach the other side.
Claim the Chroma to the left, then progress using the balloon.
How To Find And Beat Clea In Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Finding Clea in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 requires players to find a way to open the door at the Flying Manor.
Foggy Area Expedition Flag Rest Point
Players will now be in the Foggy Area. Before entering the foggy zone, cross the wood to the right to get the Protecting Tint Pictos.
The right turn is to progress, so for now, go left.
After heading left, take another left to claim a Colour of Lumina, meet a Merchant, and find a balloon that takes players to the inaccessible platform in the Ladder Area.
The Merchant notably sells the following items:

Back To Ladder Area
Once done perusing the Merchant's wares, use the balloon to return to the Ladder Area. At the Ladder Area, defeat the Nevrons, then claim the Chroma before grappling to the other side. Use the rope to go down and take the Healing Boon Pictos.
Afterward, head back to the Foggy Area.
Back To Foggy Area
After returning to the Foggy Area, take the route you skipped before. Beat the enemies, take the Chroma, then head up the rope to claim a Colour of Lumina.
Next, grapple to the right, claim the Chroma by the ledge, then fall down to return to the starting zone of the Foggy Area. From here, go left to progress.
Take the journal across the balloon before going on it.
All White Nevron Quests In Clair Obscur Expedition 33 (Aiding the Enemy Trophy)
Although Nevrons are mostly hostile, White Nevrons in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 will instead give players a quest to complete.
Peak Expedition Flag Rest Point
Now, players will reach the Peak Rest Point. Turn left as going right will end The Reacher area.
Pay attention to the Chroma tucked on the left before grappling across to eventually meet a Chromatic Braseleur. Beat the enemy to get:
