The next set of Sid Meier's Civilization 6 DLC has arrived, and players should definitely check these leaders out. This is the fifth of six waves of leaders that Firaxis is adding to the game with the Leader Pass, and each wave has helped expand the leader pool in unique exciting ways. Anyone who owns Civilization 6 and all its DLC can grab this pass at no extra charge, while everyone else can grab it for $19.99. Each leader brings something new to the table, and they are all worth a playthrough or two.

The fifth wave of the Leader Pass is being called the Great Builders pack, and it brings with it three new leaders that will surely shake up the game. Unlike previous waves, all three of these leaders are brand-new to Civilization 6. Each one seems poised to pursue a Culture Victory, and they all offer some unique abilities that will force even the most veteran players to employ new strategies to win. It will be interesting to see how players use these new leaders as they grow more comfortable with them, and hopefully it leads to some fun Civilization shenanigans.

Ludwig II

Civ 6 Ludwig

Ludwig II will be making his Sid Meier's Civilization debut in the Great Builders pack. He will serve as an alternate leader for Germany and seems like he will be a powerful leader in the Culture race. His special ability is known as Swan King, and it grants him a slew of culture bonuses for anyone pursuing that victory. Any Civilization wonder Ludwig is building will grant him +2 culture for every adjacent district, and it will start doing this the minute construction begins. All culture adjacency bonuses also provide tourism after researching castles. If used well, Ludwig II's culture gains may be unstoppable.

Theodora

Civ 6 Theodora

Theodora will be making her grand return to the Sid Meier's Civilization franchise in the Great Builders pack. She was first introduced as the leader of the Byzantines in Sid Meier's Civilization 3: Conquests, and will once again lead them in Sid Meier's Civilization 6. Her special ability is called Metanoia, and it should make her pretty viable for a Culture Victory. It makes Holy Sites provide Culture equal to their adjacency bonus, while farms adjacent to hippodromes and holy sites grant +1 faith. Combining that ability with the Byzantines' Taxis ability should make her a force to be reckoned with.

Sejong

Civ 6 Sejeong

The final leader in the Great Builders pack is an alternate leader for Korea named Sejong. Sid Meier's Civilization 6 will mark his fourth time appearing in the series, with one of those times being in the spin-off Civilization Revolution 2. Just like the previous two leaders, he is a powerful leader for anyone pursuing the Culture Victory. His special ability is called Hangul, and it provides him immense culture gains at the start of each era. After he researches his first technology in a new era, he is granted double his science per turn as culture. While it may not a consistent source of culture gains, these big boosts in culture should not be insignificant if players use them wisely.

The Great Builders pack is available in Sid Meier's Civilization 6 right now. There is only one more announced wave to go, but Firaxis likely has something exciting in store for the franchise after that. It could be a formal reveal of Sid Meier's Civilization 7, it could be another Leader Pass, or it could be something entirely different. Whatever the case, it will surely give players another reason to take one more turn.

Sid Meier's Civilization 6 Leader Pass is available now on Mobile, PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
