To celebrate the start of Civtember 2023, Civilization 6 released a free update on the last day of August. This update tweaked some Leader Abilities to make them more balanced, but that wasn't all. It also brought the last DLC pack for Civilization 6 to consoles, making most fans extremely excited to finally be able to play it on other platforms.
On PC, gamers who already owned all available DLC for Civilization 6 or the Anthology edition of the game were able to claim the Leader Pass for free, and console gamers are getting the same treatment. This guide will show Civilization 6 players who own all DLC or the Anthology on their consoles how they can play the Leader Pass at no additional cost.
Leader Pass Contents
While the base game is very entertaining by itself, Civilization 6 has released several leader and scenario packs and a couple of major expansion packs that add game-changing features to Civ 6. However, as gamers try and retry the same leaders over and over again, they will eventually crave the taste of new content. For this exact reason, in 2022, Civilization 6 gradually released the Leader Pass over the course of six months.
Players who own the Leader Pass have access to 12 new leaders and six different versions of known Civilization leaders. Here are the leaders that were added to the roster of leaders in Civilization 6 with the Leader Pass:

How to Claim the Leader Pass on Console
In order to be eligible to claim the Civilization 6 Leader Pass for free on console, gamers must either own the Anthology version of the game or separately own all DLC content. Here is how fans can claim the Leader Pass across all consoles:
Nintendo Switch
Gamers must purchase the Leader Pass on the Nintendo Switch eShop. The DLC's regular price will appear on the screen, but it will be 100 percent off.
Playstation
If the player owns all available Civilization 6 packs, they can purchase a free version of the Leader Pass on the Playstation Store.
Players who separately purchased contents belonging to the New Frontier Pass must acquire a "free" version of the New Frontier Pass so that the store recognizes that they own the expansion pass.
Xbox
To get the pass on Xbox, gamers must enter the Microsoft Store and open the Leader Pass page. If they meet the requirements, an "install" option will be available.
Several players across all platforms have reported issues when attempting to claim the Leader Pass for free. The developers are currently looking into it and will try to solve it as soon as possible.
