Chivalry 2 is a wonderful game with explicitly brutal and bloody skirmishes, so it should not come as a surprise that warriors can get wounded. All is not lost, as players can heal their warriors to keep the fight going.

Chivalry 2 gives players three options to heal their warrior. Players can use bandages, food, and some items for healing. While they are good choices, let’s look closer at how to heal in Chivalry 2 and other helpful tidbits.

How to Heal in Chivalry 2

Using Bandages

Bandages are one of the easiest ways to heal in Chivalry 2. To use bandages, players need to press the following buttons:

  • Press the Up button on the D-pad on the PlayStation controller.
  • Press the Up button on the D-pad on the Xbox controller.

For PC, players will need to use the bound key for bandage

It is worth noting bandages do not work instantly, and it will take some time to recover health. For this reason, this option may not be viable for players that need to regain their health quickly.

Players can restock bandages in Chivalry 2 in the following ways:

  1. Acquire bandages from a Footman.
  2. Acquire bandages from ammo crates.

Consuming Food

Players who run out of bandages can consume food to get a health boost. Players should keep an eye out for food like Fish, Vegetables, and Fruits on the battlefield. To consume food, players will need to press the following buttons:

  • Press X twice on the Xbox controller.
  • Press Square twice on the PlayStation Controller.
  • Press C on the Keyboard.

Unlike bandages, consuming food will heal the player instantly.

Using Items

Lastly, players can heal in Chivalry 2 using special items equipped by subclasses. Some subclasses have special items like Bandage Kit, Trumpet, or Banner.

  • As mentioned earlier, the Footman can provide bandages via the Bandage Box ability. The Footman will drop a Bandage Box, which players can interact with for health regeneration.
  • The Knight and Vanguard have the Trumpet ability, which will heal all allies in a specific range. The ability can heal 5–10 allies simultaneously.
  • The Knight and Archer have the Banner ability when used will place a Banner on the ground. Players can move to the Banner to recover health. However, the biggest drawback of this ability is that the Banner can be destroyed by enemies, which is why it needs to be placed carefully.

Chivalry 2 is available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series S/X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
