Chainsaw Man will finally deliver new details about the upcoming movie in the series. Since Chainsaw Man Season 1 concluded in 2022, fans have been eagerly waiting for the continuation of the story. The official announcement, however, of Chainsaw Man—The Movie: Reze Arc came only in 2023.

According to reports, new information about Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc will be revealed at a panel on July 3, 2025, during Anime Expo 2025. Since the release date has already been revealed, it is likely that the production team will drop a new trailer. There may also be discussions about the film’s production, potential streaming releases after the theatrical run, marketing campaigns, and more.

There is also a slight chance that they will tease or even confirm the production of a second season or another movie. Anime Expo has been the stage for many huge announcements in the past few years, but confirming the sequel before the movie is screening seems very unlikely, although not impossible.

When Will Chainsaw Man Reze Be Released?

Chainsaw Man—The Movie: Reze Arc will premiere in Japan on September 19, 2025, and will hit international theaters shortly after—the movie will be released in the US and Canada on October 29, 2025. Sony will distribute the movie around the world starting September 24, but the North American release is only in October. Tatsuya Yoshihara will replace Ryu Nakayama and Makoto Nakazono as director, so fans should be prepared for a potentially different approach in the movie.

As the title suggests, it will adapt the Reze Arc, also known as the Bomb Girl Arc, which takes place from chapter 40 to chapter 52. Since this arc is relatively short, it is possible to fully cover it in a movie. Reze, better known as Ms. Reze or Lady Reze, is a character that was briefly introduced in the final episode of the TV anime and will take center stage in the film. She is a beautiful girl, so it's easy to imagine how Denji will react to her. Anyway, to avoid spoilers, let's just say that this arc has a major impact on Denji's character development.
