A fan of the Call of Duty series proposed the brilliant idea of Call of Duty allowing players to mix and match the camos on their weapons by selecting different camo options. Throughout the years, Call of Duty hasn’t been afraid to get creative and take risks when adding various content to the popular first-person shooter, so there is a possibility that this feature could be added in the near future.

Over the past few months, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has had several crossover ideas come to life with additions such as Nicki Minaj, Lara Croft, 21 Savage, and a few characters from the popular superhero series The Boys, bringing them all into Call of Duty. Even as of late, the viral TikTok NPC trend made an appearance in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is on the horizon, so while the customization feature of camo mixing might not be present in Modern Warfare 2, there is a possibility that it can be included in the next iteration.

Reddit user u/JimJamSandwich posted the idea of camo mixing on the platform along with an image of what the concept would look like in-game. The image shows a player with dual pistols, each of them having a different set of camos equipped. Along with many other Call of Duty fan-created concepts many users in the comment section agree that this feature would be a pleasant one to have going forward in future Call of Duty titles.

The idea of being able to mix and match weapon blueprints has also been thrown around as well, giving players full customizability with their weapon choices. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 includes fan-requested changes that have been asked to make a return to the series have been added to the title, so there is hope that somebody is listening and making note of these player-made concepts being created.

In terms of older Call of Duty’s that have been released, players have seen more and more options missing from future titles. Mechanics such as having a customizable player card emblem, theater mode, and map voting have all come and gone within the series. With a Black Ops feature like dolphin diving making a return with Modern Warfare 3, there’s no telling what other feature will make an appearance.

There is a lot of hype surrounding the release of Modern Warfare 3. The reason is that several of the fan-requested gameplay mechanics and features are returning to the franchise. Not only that, but Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Zombies is also playing a big role in this as well. Modern Warfare 3 has the possibility to house a majority of fan-created ideas and requests.
