As the world faces unprecedented times, the Call of Duty franchise has also entered uncharted waters. The normal seasonal structure has been upended as the planned end date for Season 3 and the lead in to the Captain Price led Season 4 has been indefinitely delayed due to the current Black Lives Matter movement. To this point, neither Activision or Infinity Ward have made any indications as to when the next Call of Duty: Modern Warfare season will begin, though in the meantime, players can continue to work through the Battle Pass. Unfortunately, bugs and glitches are still present in the game as well as players continue to wait for the new update.

Glitches and bugs have been a rising issue over the past month or so, but the latest one in Call of Duty: Warzone gives players an unfair advantage. Over on Reddit, one user found that by aiming down the sight of their weapon, they could see enemy nametags even behind walls. Worse yet, based on the size of the enemy player's nametag, the player can also determine how close they are to the wall. Naturally, this makes the game far more easier knowing where the enemies are lurking.

Interestingly enough, a similar bug also made the rounds inside of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare multiplayer after the game first launched. The bug gained notoriety during a Call of Duty Pro match and was quickly patched out by Infinity Ward.

Surprisingly, the bug has no only returned but it has found new life in Warzone. Taking a look at Infinity Ward's bug tracker, it doesn't appear this issue is being worked or whether or not the studio is even aware of the bug making its unwelcomed return. Considering how game breaking this issue can be, players should expect the studio to move quickly on it.

Unfortunately, this isn't the most recent bug messing with normal gameplay. Another unique glitch was discovered earlier this week when players accidentally discovered a way to prevent their gas mask from breaking. After running back into the encroaching gas and their gas mask having reached the breaking point, the expected animations never arrived and the gas mask remained usable. Surprised by the sudden glitch, the player remained inside the gas for another 5 minutes without having to move. Fans watching the match became instantly suspicious, but so far, nothing has come out about the event or even what caused it.

Call of Duty: Warzone  is available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
