Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 is set to officially kick off on April 8, and now Activision has pulled the curtain back on what fans can expect. Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 will bring plenty of new content to the table, but arguably the biggest new feature is a brand new mode that will finally increase team size options in the battle royale.

It's been confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Quads mode is coming on April 8. The game mode will allow players to compete in the battle royale with teams of four, though it's unclear at the time of this writing how it will impact the game's player count. As it stands, the Warzone player count is 150 players, which isn't a number that's divisible by four, and so the player count will either need to be decreased or increased to compensate.

Call of Duty: Warzone Quads will also impact Plunder mode. When playing Plunder Quads, Warzone players will note that they will be able to collect cash at a faster rate thanks to having more players on their team, and they should also be able to complete Contracts faster as well. Overall, this should result in an even faster-paced version of Plunder for fans to try.

Call of Duty: Warzone is bringing more than just Quads to the table when Season 3 launches on April 8. The Warzone Season 3 trailer also confirms that new vehicles are coming to the battle royale map, plus players will be able to unlock some new weapons in the Season 3 Battle Pass. All of this is expected to go live early in the morning on April 8, but it's unclear just how big of an update fans can expect with Season 3.

Overall, it seems like Call of Duty: Warzone fans will respond well to the Season 3 update. Having more team size options in Warzone is definitely not a bad thing, and it should give players more variety whenever they go to play the mode. Season 3 promises to bring even more new content and changes to the Warzone battle royale as it goes on, too, so there should be even more for fans of the game to look forward to in the near future.

Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
