Activision has teased a big update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Modern Warfare for April 28, and now more details have been revealed. After downloading the April 28 update, Call of Duty: Warzone players will be able to find a new type of contract on the battle royale that has very interesting implications for player strategies moving forward.
The new Call of Duty: Warzone contract is called Most Wanted. Upon collecting it, players will make themselves a bounty target for all enemy players in the game. If they manage to survive for a certain amount of time, then players will be able to redeploy all of their dead teammates. This could provide a huge strategic advantage, especially in the later stages of the game - assuming players are able to effectively fend off any attacking players, that is.
Anyone interested in trying out this new type of Call of Duty: Warzone contract will be able to do so beginning April 28. It will be available in all Battle Royale variants (so Solos, Trios, and Quads), plus Plunder Trios. The icon for it has yet to be revealed, so players will want to keep an eye out for it when they play the game again post-update.
The Call of Duty: Warzone Most Wanted contract isn't the only new thing coming to the battle royale in the April 28 update. It's also been confirmed that the MK9 Bruen LMG is coming to Warzone in the update, with players able to get their hands on it in a couple of different ways. For one, they can purchase the Encryption bundle from the in-game store, or secondly, they can complete special challenges in-game. What those challenges are exactly remains to be seen, however.
It's unclear if the new Call of Duty: Warzone April 28 update will add anything else to the game, but fans will want to explore the map thoroughly. The purpose of the Warzone bunkers remain a mystery, and it will be interesting to see if they are finally made accessible after the update.
So far, reception to this new Call of Duty: Warzone contract seems to be pretty positive, as it gives players a serious challenge, but one that comes with a hefty reward. It will also allow players to save their Warzone cash to purchase other things from the store instead of squad re-deploys, so this contract seems as though it will be a positive new addition to the experience overall.
Call of Duty: Warzone is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
