The Kar98k is a Marksman Rifle from 2023's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 that is also usable in Call of Duty: Warzone. Unfortunately, the scope of the weapon has been slightly misaligned since its release, but the studio continues to ignore players' requests to fix it.
After finding huge success upon its release in 2020, Call of Duty: Warzone has evolved massively over the years. With each new mainline Call of Duty, Warzone receives a fresh start with plenty of new features. The launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 1 in 2024, for example, saw the two titles become fully integrated, bringing weapons and features from Treyarch's shooter into the free-to-play Battle Royale. While most players are currently using weapons from Black Ops 6, there are still plenty of weapons from 2023's Modern Warfare 3 that remain viable options within Warzone. Unfortunately, one of the game's most popular Marksman Rifles is still broken almost two years later.

Warzone's Kar98k Still Has a Misaligned Scope
There's no denying that the Kar98k is one of Warzone's most iconic weapons. It's a fast-handling Marksman Rifle that can take out enemies with ease, but there is a catch. Ever since the weapon's release with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 in 2023, the Kar98k's scope has been misaligned. Players have taken to social media multiple times in the past to bring it to Raven Software's attention, but the studio has yet to deploy an official fix. Almost two years later, fans are still taking to the official Call of Duty: Warzone subreddit to shine a light on the issue. Reddit user Weekly-Canary-9549 recently posted a short video showcasing the scope's misalignment, as it appears to shoot ever so slightly to the right instead of in the center.
This isn't the first post bringing attention to the issue. Another Reddit user recently noted that it doesn't matter which scope is used; all of them are misaligned on the Kar98k. Unfortunately, with so many weapons now available to use in Warzone, it looks like this popular Marksman Rifle will likely remain broken. While Raven Software constantly updates the shooter with weapon adjustments, there tends to be much more of a focus on weapons from the most recent Call of Duty title, which, in this case, is Black Ops 6. Weapons from previous entries, such as Modern Warfare 2 and 3, often receive very little attention.
Last month, Warzone and Black Ops 6 received the highly anticipated Season 3 update. The new season not only saw the triumphant return of Verdansk in Call of Duty: Warzone but also brought back some iconic Modern Warfare weapons, including the CR-56 AMAX and HDR Sniper Rifle. Unfortunately, after dominating the shooter for almost a month, a recent Warzone update nerfed the two weapons, once again adjusting the meta.
