Call of Duty: Warzone developer Raven Software appears to have quietly increased the drop rate for the Trail Blazer Operator Skin, which can be obtained by opening hidden safes around Verdansk as part of a new event. With the release of Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3, Raven Software also launched a new event known as "Return to Verdansk," with a special challenge attached that allows players to unlock an exclusive operator skin. Unfortunately, the drop rate for the skin appeared to be incredibly low, resulting in frustration from players.
Shortly after the launch of the Return to Verdansk event, fans blasted the latest Warzone event as broken due to the incredibly low drop rate of the Trail Blazer Operator Skin. Completing the event requires players to locate twelve hidden safes around Verdansk to then unlock the new Kali Sticks melee weapon, but obtaining the exclusive skin is entirely random. Some players have reported opening hundreds and hundreds of hidden safes throughout various matches with still no luck. Raven Software has yet to comment on the drop rate, but it looks like the studio may have heard the outcry from fans, as a recent change has seemingly been made.

Call of Duty: Warzone Buffs Hidden Safe Skin Drop Rate
After many complaints from the community, it looks like Raven Software has increased the drop rate for the Trail Blazer Operator Skin in Call of Duty: Warzone. Prominent figures within the Call of Duty community, such as YouTuber JGOD, have stated that the drop rate appears to have been increased as they have now finally unlocked the skin. Plenty of other players also chimed in, such as Twitter user Anki-PR, who says they have unlocked the skin after just 30 safes, which is a massive decrease from the hundreds of safes opened by other players. However, it is worth noting that the drop rate is still random, so some players may still have a hard time obtaining the skin.
Although Raven Software has yet to confirm if it has altered the drop rate for the skin, a brand-new update for Call of Duty: Warzone was deployed on April 7, so it's possible that the change came with the new update. The new patch only made a handful of changes, including some bug fixes and general adjustments, but it also disabled the Snakeshot ammunition as the Basilisk pistol was quickly becoming the new meta weapon for Warzone. The update also disabled the Thermal 6x Scope as it was discovered that the Scope had no glint when aiming down sights.
Call of Duty players still looking to obtain the Trail Blazer Operator Skin will need to act fast, as Warzone's Return to Verdansk event is set to come to an end on April 15. While the exclusive skin isn't guaranteed, players can unlock plenty of other in-game rewards through the event by opening twelve different safes around Verdansk. The event requires players to unlock one safe in twelve different points of interest to obtain all of the rewards. After all of the safes have been opened, the Kali Sticks melee weapon, which was first featured in 2019's Modern Warfare, will be available to use in Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
