Call of Duty: Warzone publisher Activision has officially pulled back the curtain on the shooter's upcoming Season 4 update, but the community appears to be divided over the new Door Barricade field upgrade. Season 4 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Warzone is right around the corner, as Activision has confirmed that the new season will begin in both titles on Thursday, May 29. Fans will once again be able to check out a plethora of new content with the beginning of Season 4, including three brand-new Multiplayer maps in Black Ops 6, three new weapons, new game modes, and much more. Warzone's New Door Barricade Field Upgrade Sparks Debate
One of the many new additions for Call of Duty: Warzone Season 4 is a new Door Barricade field upgrade. While fans haven't had the chance to see the feature in action just yet, Activision has noted that it will initially only be available in the game's returning Clash limited-time mode, which is a 52v52 Team Deathmatch on Verdansk. The Door Barricade will work as you'd expect, fitting to a single or double door with heavy-duty locks that prevent it from being opened until removed by the player or destroyed by an enemy. However, some players are skeptical about the new field upgrade, as there are concerns that it will encourage camping.
Reddit user Damien23123 says Call of Duty: Warzone "already caters to campers," while Affectionate-Foot802 says the new field upgrade is "too corny" and is another way of "providing cheap dopamine for bad players." But not everyone feels the same way, as some have noted that the Door Barricade will likely be countered with just a few shots or an explosion. Reddit user StableQuark says they "think it's kind of fun," while Ndrade says they are "okay with having weird fun" as long as it doesn't make its way into Warzone's Ranked Play mode.
