A Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera player has pulled off an incredible plane rescue which may not be possible in the modernized Warzone 2. Flyable planes were a highly requested Call of Duty: Warzone feature in its early days, with the World War 2-based Caldera introducing them to players for the first time, with this fan seemingly becoming an expert in aerial maneuvers.

Activision has been improving the Call of Duty: Warzone experience since it was initially released back in 2020, with Warzone 2 in 2022 following up on what was already established. With Call of Duty: Warzone not getting much developer attention since the release of the sequel, Warzone 2 is regularly patched, with the most recent update focusing on removing two critical features from ranked play. Although much of the Call of Duty: Warzone community has switched to its successor, some fans continue to play the Pacific island Caldera to see what they may have missed out on the first time exploring the map.

Reddit user Interesting-Ad-6899 recently shared a Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera clip in which they fly a fighter plane close to the battle royale island's surface. Interesting-Ad-6899 immediately soars into the sky in a loop and remains upside down as the Caldera ground gets dangerously close which could have resulted in an early death for the pilot. As Interesting-Ad-6899 gets to within a stone's throw away from a Caldera building, their Call of Duty: Warzone squadmate comes into view and anticipates the plane's arrival perfectly as they jump and enter the vehicle with precise timing.

The Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera map is full of points of interest that have been home to incredible shootouts, with the Interesting-Ad-6899 clip highlighting a rescue mission from a memorable location. The moment shows the potential that the Pacific island and its vehicles still have beyond the release of Warzone 2. Though many Call of Duty: Warzone clips focus on multi-kills or close-call victories, Interesting-Ad-6899's Caldera video shows a play that some fans consider as impressive as a win.

Because Interesting-Ad-6899's Warzone Caldera clip concludes before the Call of Duty battle royale match comes to a close, it's currently unclear if the rescue mission was enough for the squad to pull out a victory. Given that the two soldiers in Interesting-Ad-6899's video were away from their squadmates and the plane is just a two-seater, they may have had to ditch the rescue vehicle to regroup with the others.

Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
