Days after being released, Call of Duty: Warzone  has cemented itself as another successful entry in the popular franchise. Adapting the battle royale genre with many Call of Duty  twists, players have already figured out the most optimal or unorthodox ways to get an edge over opponents in-game. On that note, one of the newest tricks involves a team effort by the 3-man squad.

How to Trigger the Advanced UAV

While one UAV only gives players vision of a certain part of the map for a limited time, overlapping a whole squad's UAVs will upgrade it to an Advanced UAV. To get the enhanced scan, the team needs to use their UAVs within a certain time frame: basically at the same time. This advanced version reveals the location of all other 147 players on the huge map and what direction they are currently heading in. Streamers CouRage, Dr Disrespect, and DougisRaw posted a clip on Twitter showing how to perform the unique UAV interaction and their surprised reactions when the entire map became lit up with their opponents' red dots.

Using the Advanced UAV

Mirroring the Advanced UAV killstreak from previous games like Modern Warfare, any veteran player can surely make use of this knowledge to avoid firefights, pick off stragglers, and move towards the best vantage points during a Warzone  match. Be aware that the duration is not significantly extended and lasts as long as UAVs normally do, so squads should definitely take advantage of the information they can gleam during this time.

As significant as this advantage may be, the Advanced UAV won't be the solution to winning every match. Despite knowing where every enemy is, it doesn't directly help in combat and newcomers may lose a gunfight even if they get the drop on someone. Furthermore, the UAV isn't exactly cheap with a cost of $4000 each and some argue that money is better spent on a revival method in case a trip to the Gulag ends badly.

As the community becomes accustomed to everything Warzone  has to offer, players should expect their locations to be broadcast consistently to opponents even without the advanced scan bearing down. But learning to use this trick and others such as parachuting down faster will end up improving a player drastically in the long run.
