Call of Duty: Vanguard is the latest first-person shooter from developers Sledgehammer Games which sees players revisit World War 2. Although the title has gathered generally positive reviews from both critics and fans alike, like many previous Call of Duty titles on launch, Call of Duty: Vanguard has some bugs it needs to have ironed out.

Just last month, Call of Duty: Vanguard had a multiplayer beta where users were able to try out the new maps and weapons. Unfortunately, many players found the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta to be borderline unplayable as the spawn systems were completely broken. Players were spawning right behind or alongside enemies often not giving one of the players enough time to react to what was going on. The spawn issue was quickly fixed, but it appears as though it has partially returned.

A user on Reddit by the name of BomberLeague posted a video that showcased the issue. In the video, it can clearly be seen that the user spawns in and is then gunned down a couple of seconds afterward. They stick around for the kill cam to appear and see an enemy has spawned alongside their group. This is of course similar to the issue found in the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta, but due to the low number of reports, it’s most likely that this issue isn’t as common as it used to be.

That being said, there was another video on Reddit that also showed the spawn issue occurring. Interestingly, both issues were shown happening at the start of a match during Kill Confirm and on the Bunker map. It’s possible the spawn issue occurs in other locations and game modes, however.

Regardless of how often the spawn issue now occurs, it’s a pretty massive bug that needs to be addressed as it can quite easily ruin users' experiences and matches as a whole. If a player spawns behind a group of enemies and manages to gun five of them down, they could easily acquire a killstreak right away or be very close to acquiring one. Additionally, if this issue happens in game modes such as Search & Destroy where players only have one life per round, this could drastically change how the rest of the game will go.

Developer Sledgehammer Games was rather quick to fix the spawn issue that was occurring during the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta so it’s quite possible this latest spawn issue will be fixed soon. Call of Duty has had other issues, such as the Call of Duty: Warzone Roze Skin issue that has been problematic for quite some time. In the meantime, Call of Duty: Vanguard players can try out the campaign or zombies while the spawn issue is fixed.

Call of Duty: Vanguard is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X
