Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 - Where to Find Three…

The mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3's campaign will have players drop in as Captain Price to infiltrate an enemy area in one of the game's Open Combat Area missions. Players will have to find and destroy 3 Konni helicopters in the mission area, marked by the orange smoke grenades.

If players can destroy each helicopter with a separate armament (players may know these as killstreaks in Call of Duty's multiplayer modes) they will unlock the mission Achievement or Trophy, Helo Hat Trick.

Finding the Armaments

There are f our armaments on the map in the mission Reactor that are strong enough to destroy the helicopters, the VTOL Jet, Mortar Strike, Stealth Bomber, and Precision Airstrike. While each armament has the power to destroy the helicopters, because the damage is distributed over an area there is a chance that the armaments may not destroy the helicopters in one hit, although with precise aim players shouldn't need more than the four armaments to complete the objective.

Start by parachuting to the concrete building in the center-right of the compound from the drop point with the wooden top. When players land, there is a Mortar Strike on the top floor in the Northwest corner - pick up the first armament and move South towards the tower in C-6. Just East of the tower is the fire station - players will find a supply crate in the garage of the station, but will ultimately want to climb to the roof and find the VTOL Jet on the second level of the roof. Swap the Mortar Strike with the VTOL and call the VTOL in on the first Konni helicopter to destroy it. The VTOL will clear the area and provide a distraction to players to allow them to run up the South edge of the map toward the next helicopter in G-7.

While approaching the second helicopter, begin moving North towards the reactor building in G-5. In F-5 players will find a supply drop hanging from the roof of a building nearby with a Precision Airstrike spilled onto the ground. Use the Mortar Strike on the helicopter in G-7, taking care not to be hit by the sentry gun mounted on the back of the LTV in G-6. Take the Precision Airstrike and head North towards the final helicopter.

Players can quickly ascend to the roof of the building just South of the final helicopter using the ascension line on the West side of the building. There will be one enemy guarding the roof. Take him down then l ine up the airstrike on the final chopper and take it out to complete the achievement or trophy.

There is a Stealth Bomber on this rooftop in case any helicopter survived the initial armament strike - from looking at the Konni helicopter turn around and look for the supply crate near the pathway leading to the reactor. Grab the Bomber and head to the top of the reactor building to get a view of the helo positions in the compound.

Once all three helicopters are destroyed, players will be awarded the Helo Hat Trick Trophy on PlayStation or Achievement on Steam and Xbox and can continue with the Reactor mission.
